Boris says he did not lie to the Queen, which implies that she knew the full reasons of his intentions.

They turned the local park into woods and the councillors got arrested for treason Cry
Report Hanx September 13, 2019 3:44 PM BST
Unfortunately, this so-called act of treason revolves around a group of Scottish judges ability to read people's minds

the problem for the supreme court judges is that THEY must obey the law,and law must protect itself, regardless of who is involved.SO it will not be for the judges to decide ,it will be the law that instructs their decision.

Be funny if the queen is carted off in the paddy wagon

Now that would make my year

There is a law for anyone who assists someone else to betray ones country, but then the word ASSIST will be scrutinised for meaning,
in my view (OPINION)Boris should admit to lying or misleading her royal Majesty.

and that is a crime in itself.

I think it should happen more...the antics they get up there are not good examples for Politics students or children. I wish the MPs do not get paid when it happens; we pay them for getting rowdy, we also pay them when Parliament is prorogued. How can that be justified?

according to the treason act of 1351(Laugh)you can not silence the house of parliament,it is a very very serious crime.
Now parliament is shut at the moment and someone is responsible.this part of treason law was not updated, and the law is the law until it is changed.
the penalty or punishment was updated and is now life in prison but it use to be death.it was updated a few years back.(not sure about how many years ago ,think it was 1990,)Shocked
Report brassneck September 13, 2019 11:02 PM BST
but it still carries a life in prison punishment.

They've had 3 years to debate.  They don't want to debate.  They want to stop Brexit.
Report lybertyne September 13, 2019 11:06 PM BST
And when I say 'they', I am using it in the traditional third-person-plural fashion; I'm not referring to any mentally challenged entertainers, although I'm in no doubt that such persons would also be anti-Brexit.

there were a few amendments to the treason law in 2013 ,but the act of breaking to law was not changed,so you can see the massive problem that the supreme court has next week,(and they must obey the law) while Boris still says that he did not lie or mislead the Queen.
so you guys can work it out for yourselves what will happen, and it does not look good in my opinion.Sad

BORIS does not Give a flying , and quite rightly so , Lyb spot on , if we come out with NO DEAL  , there will be one group to blame REMAINERS who have done nothing but try to overturn Democracy for the past 3 years ..

This could have been sorted  and we could have left on very favourable terms , Alas it does not look like that wll be the
case ...

What is your prediction

Trust me they'll bury this in the coming week

Report brassneck September 14, 2019 12:06 AM BST
Boris did not break any law if he is telling the truth when he says"i did not lie or mislead the Queen"
but this opens a super can of worms"
because it means it was the Queen who decided to close parliament!,now with the greatest respect ,her royal Majesty will have to explain why she made a personal decision to close parliament and silence debate ,which is betraying one's country"
sovereign immunity and the act of treason are not good friends by a long way,the judges in the supreme court can be held accountable should they get the decision incorrect ,and must obey the law,but the law must protect itself.
i think that Boris will change his story about not misleading the Queen ,letting the QUEEN OF THE HOOK,Boris will claim he was advised incorrectly ,take his pension and run,and a second referendum will be called as soon as parliament reopens, and brexit will be delayed.
if they called an election they would all lose their seats because all the general public are angry ,and also annoyed that Her Majesty was dragged so low into the argument.Sad

So my prediction none will see a day in prison pretty much then Laugh

The boring route of him resigning and blaming someone else and all of them just scooting off waiting for the dust to settle

Same old story different set of characters

The facts as I see it is that Parliament is prorogued every year in order to facilitate the Conference season. In this case it has not been prorogued for nearly three years. The last time they sat this long was nearly 300 hundred years ago! The fact is they have lost only 4 days actual debating time when things are taken into consideration and I find it ironical they devoted 85 minutes of debating time congratulating the Speaker on his dubious achievements. They have had over 3 years debating this, what I ask would be achieved over the next few weeks? When they come back on the EU meet in October, hopefully they will have something constructive to talk about. It seems to me they appear to be against everything and the best laugh I have had in ages is Lady Nugee saying she would negotiate a deal with the EU, bring it back to Parliament and then recommend vote against, is priceless.
