Lost 4 out of 4 votes. A 100% loss record as Prime Minister.
Lost his majority as a Tory MP joined the Lib Dems
Lost  21 Tory MPs after he sacked them
Lost his brother - Jo Johnson MP - who has just resigned

apart from that he's doing just fine.

Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 4:58 PM BST
He can resign tomorrow as pm , and stay as Tory party leader
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:00 PM BST
That means he will be leader in any new election , to be elected as pm
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:01 PM BST
Any problem with that ?
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:01 PM BST
How does he resign without a no confidence vote?
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:01 PM BST
Who becomes PM....sooty?
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:03 PM BST
It can be an interim pm , sooty or even Corbyn
That’s fine
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:03 PM BST
Dusty it’s like any job , if you want to resign then you hand in your notice
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:04 PM BST
If you get sacked that’s a vote of no confidence
Don’t confuse one situation with the other
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:05 PM BST
But how does the tory leader resign from PM and stay tory leader, while in government?
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:06 PM BST
an interim pm , or sooty , or ken Clarke or Corbyn
That’s fine
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:06 PM BST
so whos the government with sooty as PM?
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:07 PM BST
Now you can be sure Boris will not ask for another extension
Let Corbyn do it
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:08 PM BST
there will be no interim PM, that was offered and blown out. Boris is buggered all ends up
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:09 PM BST
How is he if he has resigned as pm , but not as Tory leader
That’s ideal
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:09 PM BST
so somebody just steps in because boris has decimated his own party's slender majority?
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:10 PM BST
If the Tory party and Boris refuse to ask for an extension
No one can force them
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:12 PM BST
If the Labour Party or libdems want to they will have to do it themselves
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:12 PM BST
They are in power....until the government is disolved its their duty
or do they only want to do wednesdays and fridays?
ffs
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:14 PM BST
No , they are not in power if they are being forced to do something they do t want to
Of this magnitude
If they want it fine , then Corbyn or Clarke or sooty can ask
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:15 PM BST
The tories do not have to do anything between now and Oct
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:16 PM BST
This isnt a game, they cant choose only the fluff and hand over the tricky stuff
They need a 2/3rd vote for an election, until that point they are in power
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:18 PM BST
No. they can’t be forced to stay in power if they are being forced to do something against the parties wishes
Do you know stormont hasn’t been in place for over 2 years ?
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:20 PM BST
It’s been closed , I think close to 3 years
Well the tories can stand down for 3 weeks or 3 months
If necessary
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:21 PM BST
Until we have an election
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:21 PM BST
Now by my calculations we are out of the EU by then
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:21 PM BST
So you are saying they can choose to renage rather than disolve government and remain a legitimate political party ready to fight an election, with a PM who had his face wiped while being PM, put him in a box until the election is called and have anybody who wishes to do the stuff the tories dont like?

This is getting more remarkable by the minute
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:22 PM BST
So will it be an election , or not ?
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:23 PM BST
Of course  , the tories can step down from power tomorrow
Why not ?
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:23 PM BST
If the tories abandon power I dont see why that would matter no f ucker will vote for them who run off over the hill cos they didnt like it
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:24 PM BST
That means an election , if you’re stupid enough to blame the tories that’s up to you
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:25 PM BST
I'd be stupid for suggesting people would look on the tories as feckless because they just p issed off home and denied it was their responsibility and took their ball home?
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:26 PM BST
There are set ways an election can be triggered....dispair isnt one of those ways as far as Im aware
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:26 PM BST
Let’s get  this clear not the Labour Party or  the libdems nor anyone else is going to make the Tory party do something it doesn’t want to do
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:26 PM BST
Laugh
Come on then John Wayne
Lets see what you got
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:27 PM BST
Try and understand that simple fact
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:28 PM BST
My money is Boris having no option but to fall on his sword and an election being called after 31st Oct (or very close to it)
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:28 PM BST
Theres no other conceivable way in rational world
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:29 PM BST
Why should he ?( of course there has to be an election)
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:29 PM BST
Tories renage power ffs
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:29 PM BST
Why should anyone outside the Tory party decide its leader
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:30 PM BST
Because he cant disolve government simply because the job turned out not to fit into his delicate sensibilities
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:30 PM BST
Im not bothering any more ffs
Go look at the ways an election is possible
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:32 PM BST
There will have to be an election , it matters not when
And Boris will be the Tory leader
Why not ?
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:32 PM BST
Time will tell
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:35 PM BST
There will have to be an election
But it wont be just because the tories want one f ucking hell
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:36 PM BST
They are an ineffectual dead duck who cant pass water right now
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:38 PM BST
The tories don’t want an election , don’t be stupid
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:39 PM BST
The tories dont want one?
LaughLaugh
They HAVE to have one
Boris might say he doesnt want one, but boris cant piss straight let alone be sincere
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:40 PM BST
Dusty the tories don’t want an election they have to have one

So what and your point is ?
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:41 PM BST
what the fook are you talking about?
go back to your bottle of meths ffs
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:43 PM BST
You’re not making much sense
What’s wrong with an election ?
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:44 PM BST
Have you something against elections  ?
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:45 PM BST
Nothing
But the tories need it more than anyone else atm so they wont get one cos the tories cant demand one
Fixed term parliament rules dictate
They'd have to vote no confidence in themselves and thats political suicide
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:45 PM BST
Why is it ?
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:46 PM BST
Go and find out, its only been a rule for 10 years
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:47 PM BST
I know that.  I’m asking why is it political suicide to want an election?
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:48 PM BST
To vote no confidence in yourselves in order to get one
Why would anyone vote for them after that?
Im done schooling you
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:49 PM BST
Let me explain, they will be voting no confidence in themselves not because they have no confidence in themselves

But to get an election , understand ?
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:50 PM BST
Too subtle ?
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 5:51 PM BST
Tea time
Report dustybin September 6, 2019 5:53 PM BST
They would be voting no confidence because they sacked their own MPs and lost a majority
There own infighting would have caused it
Not exactly a selling point

Now Im done with you cos as hard as I try...you really do my **** in man

Well thats unfortunate

Report boxingthefox September 6, 2019 6:32 PM BST
Fair enough. Happy
Report lfc1971 September 6, 2019 6:58 PM BST
This is how it works , the government decides what to do , not Parliament
Parliament cannot force the elected government , the tories , to do anything it doesn’t want to do

When you understand that basic fundamental of democracy you will understand that boris cannot be forced to ask for and extension after oct31
And the tories can’t be forced to ask for it if they don’t want to   , no law or anything else can make them

Try and understand that

Why all the faffing around then? They know what they want to do but can't. Why not? Because of Parliament.

LFC

Never mind all your cracked pottedness these are the only options as I can see

By Monday the bill will have got royal ascent and therefore becomes law demanding whoever is responsible at the time to request an extension.
He could
1.Refuse....go on I double dare you ffs
2. Attempt to pass a bill through the house that negates the fixed term parliament.....how? Who is going to help him cos non of the opposition will.
3. Keep badgering the opposition with attempts to get 2/3rds to vote for an election......the opposition have him where they want him, why would they break rank now?
4. Get a deal....now you are having a laugh, even his fans don’t realistically think this will happen
5. Try and get an EU member to break rank and veto an extension.....then the EU will look responsible for ‘no deal’ default, why would they risk it when it’s a British brain f uck?
6. Resign
7. Send somebody else and pretend it isn’t him going back on his word.....(this is actually the most likely, but the electorate won’t buy that as a ruse, he’d have got his bluff called and everyone knows it) He said there would deffo be a deal, what odds did he offer again?
8. Recall May’s deal.....somebody tried that the other day, it got trounced.
9. Vote no confidence in themselves.....ahhahahahahaha is only thing I’m going to say on that, hang no I’ll add....ahahahahahahahah

That pony you spat out about government not being controlled by parliament is wrong. Parliament hold the cards now the government can barely break wind
Report Angoose September 7, 2019 12:26 AM BST
You are incorrect in regard to your point 8.

May’s deal could well be brought back for another try, highly debatable if it would pass, but an option and the Benn Bill amendment makes provision for just that.

"One minute you're Stormzy and the next minute you wake up and you're Michael Barrymore.  Laugh

"That's what's happened. He was sold to us as this guy who is a winner, he could do all the things that Theresa May hadn't been able to do, and he could unite the party and the country by the sheer bringing of confidence and charisma.

"He's like a person pressing the button on the app on his phone in fury, saying why is it not happening the way that he wants it to.
