OP is wrong. The leave campaigners were forever banging on about how easy it would be to make a deal.

Including Boris, who fronted the Leave campaign and is now prime minister.

The OP is wrong, but not for the reason above.

The citizens of the UK did not vote to leave, the citizens of England voted to leave. In all the places that hadn't been gerrymandered to dilute the presence of Englishmen, they voted overwhelmingly to leave.

This is an English uprising, and it has only just begun.

Will the Lords managed to fillybuster it? It's unconstitutional and they are meant to protect that
Also will Boris tell the Queen to withhold it ?
The last thing she wants is Catweasel at number 10.

You had a democratic vote
The decision was leave

So go ......

Where did this sh1te about a deal come from ?

It wasnt part of the original vote at all
Report terry mccann September 4, 2019 9:15 AM BST
Irishone,if voting made a difference they wouldn't let us do it
Its playing out exactly how I thought 3 yrs ago (check out anytime you like but you can never leave) the delays, the extensions, the Tory chaos, the general election and the inevitability of never leaving the EU.
Report anxious September 4, 2019 9:19 AM BST
This is probably correct

losers simply throwing up dust, we voted to leave the day the day after the referendum

that meant all payments to the EU should have stopped then, and all eu mps brought home

We should not lose sight of the fact that the real crime here was the stitched-up coronation of Mrs May after Cameron resigned, and that it was part of the same Establishment effort to annul - or at least heavily dilute - the Referendum result.

It is inconceivable that we would still be having this debate, still be in the EU, and still not be seeing a clear path to the future, had the Tories allowed a Leaver to be PM
Report Captain carnage September 4, 2019 10:20 AM BST
Errr. It was the harline leavers on the tory benches that voted against May's deal to leave the EU.

Couldnt make up the irony.

Ps. Why dont any leavers want a 2nd referendum. Surely now the public have been slightly more informed about what leaving entails you would win by a landslide lol?

You cant see its the same trick played on Ireland and Denmark,"they didn't know what they were voting for" Captain?
Report jed.davison September 4, 2019 10:39 AM BST
I have answered that question on the politics forum this morning captain, feel free to have a read.

They did in 2016, then Iceland helped them leave.

It's a delicious irony to see a forum contributor argue that the entire population had a clear understanding of a complex subject when that very forum contributor devotes huge personal resources defending minority held beliefs on every crackpot conspiracy theory google can throw at him CrazyShockedLaugh

It was the harline leavers on the tory benches that voted against May's deal to leave the EU.

That was because it was a fekiing shyte deal made to appease the remainers and the EU. In effect, still tied to them.

It makes me laugh when listening to the remainers crowing about what's gone down

Don't worry, they'll shaft you up the backside as well eventually

Its not nice when the boot is on the other foot remember that

If a deal was truly made to appease remainers we would be out by now. May's deal despite all the bluster is actually pretty hard Brexit, indeed that's why it's so bad, because hard Brexit = bad.
