Flicking TV channels a couple of days ago and, right there, in front of me is this....
I acquired mine in '76 but after moving in'81 it's been with me and unused until just three months ago!
Had it on e-bay for ages, without any interest at all, so put it on "Gumtree" and, after a good few weeks sold it for £65.00

lady faye i cant do that cut and paste shyte so am guessing you had a 60s lamp and sold it for £65 and lo and behold it wqas worth a lot more ? enlighten me please ?

I e-mailed the girl that DP was using for the restoration, to ask did she know what they were worth, and she sent me that link!
When the buyer drove seventy miles to get it, I thought I bet he's a dealer, and will have it in his showroom for £200.00. I wish to God I never saw that programme! |

Try the Copy & Paste, as it's one of the brilliant things to have!
Just put the cursor to the top left, and hold the left button then drag across till it's all blue, then right click and click copy.... Open another address bar, right click and then click paste. It is actually a very quick procedure.... Anyway, I've no room to talk, as I'm having my own PC problems right now! |

years ago i bought a wooden carved paddle type wooden thing from a bootsale for £40 , the missuus wernt happy (£40 for a lump of wood ydc )or words to that affect . anyway held onto it for months but the missus kept on nagging, get rid of that crap etc . anyway took it to a local auction and the so called expert took one look at it and said he would estimate ut at around £30 -£50 . anyway i decided to get a 2nd opinion and took it to sotherbys in london , a guy who specialises in art looked at it and said he would estimate it at £500 and reccomended i put it on ebay anyway after puttting it on ebay around 5 mins after i listed it someone emailed and offered to buy nit now for £80 ,i declined his offer and he came back with "how about £500 then " i told him i would let the auction go its course anyway after 7 days and with a few hours to go it was up to £300 odd pounds and the missus had had a rethink about the "lump of crap" and now was bang on it i couldnt get near the computer as she was all over it and you couldnt get her off the fookin thing anyway long story short it sold for £2,750 . turned out to be around 200nyears old and hand carved from the polynesian islands

No Jack, I understand that, and there is/was another asking just under £500....
