Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.

There is a Louis Vuitton product called a Billiard Trunk. Essentially, it is a luxury cue case with space for various accessories, including a set of pool balls. Louis Vuitton commissioned ball manufacturer, Aramith, to create a custom set with the famous LV monogram. I’d like to buy just these balls, not the trunk.

Alas, Aramith refuse to sell me a set, insisting that I contact Louis Vuitton themselves. Louis Vuitton also refuse to sell me a set, a representative eventually revealing they are saving what spare sets they have to sell (or give) to regular customers.

Any help from fellow Chit Chatters would be sincerely appreciated.

Best wishes.

I think most posters on here are more the Primark type rather than LV but best of luck P. Crazy

Nothing wrong with primark  bud, cheap labour for cheap gear, as for LV ,cheap labour for expensive gear Crazy

The 'other' buyer would end up with a case, what would they fill the gaps with?
Report Pokermonster August 28, 2019 8:42 PM BST
The blank post, above, was intended to show a photograph of the Louis Vuitton pool balls made by Aramith.

Not sure why it didn’t upload. :(
Report Pokermonster August 28, 2019 8:45 PM BST
Louis Vuitton (and Aramith) have spare sets, Mr D, so no customer would be left with an empty case.

Alas, Aramith insist the balls are only available through Louis Vuitton, and LV won’t sell me a set as I’m not a regular client.
Report Pokermonster August 28, 2019 8:46 PM BST
Just to reiterate, these balls are not made by Louis Vuitton. They are manufactured by Aramith.

Here’s a link to Aramith’s Facebook page advertising the collaboration last year.

I’ve visited Louis Vuitton stores in London and New York to enquire about buying a set. Neither were even aware of the product and were not helpful at all.

They will be happy to sell when they have been sat in a warehouse unsold for 5 years, its a waiting game!

Very diplomatic answer gravy
Report DIFERENT GRAVY 12 August 28, 2019 9:02 PM BST
Brands like LV usually destroy unsold branded items rather than sell off cheaply but this looks like something there wont be many of to start with.
Report Pokermonster August 28, 2019 9:03 PM BST
They are giving them away to favoured customers. I just need to find one who is prepared to help. :)
Report conditor August 28, 2019 9:04 PM BST
Try Turkey
Report Pokermonster August 28, 2019 9:07 PM BST
I’m not seeking a knock off Louis Vuitton case, Mr C. I just want the set of Aramith balls.

Conditor you beat me to it, I used to buy in Istanbul a few years ago and people there will sell anything to anyone. Youjust need ££££ or $$$$

Thanks for the clarification. I don't want to miss a thing.

Report peckerdunne August 28, 2019 9:10 PM BST
The place for favoured customers wont be here, so target where they are.

Otherwise you will go nuts looking for those balls.
Report conditor August 28, 2019 9:11 PM BST
For what ?so you can sit with them and watch the chace?
Report Pokermonster August 28, 2019 9:13 PM BST
I’m looking everywhere, Mr P. :)

And one never knows who is lurking on Betfair, sir. I know a few on here who are Rolex collectors, for instance, so anything is possible.

Are they in a shop in central London?

If so, just pay a beggar to rip + run, give a tenner up front and a score on delivery.

TBF top designer clothes are well made, especially stuff like shoes.
I've got quite about 50 pairs of trainers/shoes up to 600/700 quid and they will all last a long time.

I've found Paul Smith to be the best value designer.
Top quality and not quite as expensive as Gucci, D&G, Versace and LV
