Loved Indian Skimmer. Her finest hour was undoubtedly when annihilating the mighty Miesque in the Diane, although the latter didn't stay and the going was very soft, iirc. A shame IS got injured as she was never quite the same afterwards. Miesque, of course, ruled the world.

All bookmakers have what you call a skimmer box.A box that sits behind the counter and fills up on a daily basis.Winning bets that are never collected go into the skimmer box,if someone get a a cross bet up and there is £103.87 returns the 87 pence goes into the skimmer box,if a bet returns £567 the collector will get £565 and £2 for the skimmer box,the skimmer box buys the bookie a new car each year, but not a lot of people know about the skimmer box"i know you took 6/1 for that winner Jimmy but it was only 11/2 at the time ,so Jimmy there is your £110 quid "as he puts his £10 quid into his skimmer box.
if you ask a bookie about it he will say "its rounding"that's the term.![]() ![]() ![]() |
