Hi AllinR1 - I'm pleased to hear that somebody appreciated my sense of humour/mischief.

I'm still around (I have been for 20 odd years and i have only ever had the one forum-name) - I have been on my annual summer trek to see my children in the US and then on to Canada. That absence aside, I have reverted to "lurking" as there is no real value to me in talking on the forum anymore. I still have the odd chat on General Betting, Snooker and Horse Racing if a topic interests me or amuses me but that is pretty rare these days.

I got re-involved recently on chit-chat because I was bored and a regular poster irritated me intensely - I still have a read from time to time - but generally speaking I value my time too highly to waste it on the level of content that the forum has sunk to these days.

Hi aaronh - I must have missed that while on my hols.

That would be a very interesting (if one sided) contest - the quick-wit, the sense of humour, the cunning and the sense of mischief of the mouse - versus the sheer tenacity of a guy with access to both the Daily Mail and the Express and in possession of the largest collection of trumpet photographs in the uk.

Can I have a pound each-way on the Mouse please?

I am the Banks that caused Baphoon to have a complete mental meltdown on here when I was a figment of his imagination. That is as much as I know about my supposed Banks identity but it was fun being him for a while (whoever he is).

He was on the road to recovery until this week then he had a relapse, on Tuesday I think. I'm not sure what triggered it.

Well I've certainly been dropping more profusely since he announced I was on his list, but as a precaution I've lined my cage with both Mail and Express.

Last time i was down there in early 90s Harp at £1.10 Krony £1.40 or IPA or Abbot Ale at same increments were the pints of choice and i must say a pint of Abbot went down well with a bowl of  beef guinness and mushroom soup - usually made during festive season if i remember it well
