Don't sign up to them is my advice

I decided to self exclude from the 2 casino accounts I had (Casumo and 21 Casino), I signed up to the other big ones (Leo Vegas, Videoslots and 888) and self excluded from them as well. Then self excluded from Betfairs casino as well.

DO NOT even put a "cheeky tenner" through those slots, you'll be hooked and its bloody hard to pack it in once you are. I lost nearly 2k before realising they are a massive money guzzling con. And they have these "megaways" slots now that offer up massive wins, 10,000x type wins, do not fall for them as they are massively programmed and its so obvious to notice the pattern of play on them once you've played them a good while.

CON!!!!!

These casino streamers that live stream them are just as bad as well, they offer prize giveaways on their sites/channels but.... you need to sign up to a casino through their links

Absolute vermin, and when they proclaim to be fighting the casino with you it really does make my blood boil.

Stick to horse racing/football/tennis/golf etc

I've never once found myself "tilting" when having a horse bet etc, but those slots made me want to deposit more and more

"oh ill just have another £20 and that's it" soon became £100

The amount of casino offers I got emailed was shameful as well, superjudge

"come and bet £25 and we'll give you 10 free spins" CrazyCrazy at 10p stake CrazyCrazy

UBLE

Yeah when it comes to something they can possibly pick out winners in, an element of skill involved, not spinning at £10 on a slot with an RTP of 91% CryCryCry

They openly admit to that. Basically stealing money off you and get away with it scot free because its "entertainment"

How is doing your b0llucks in "entertainment" ffs
By:

Betfair often email me saying they've put 'some free spins' in my non existent casino account.

Thankfully I'm just about wise enough not to touch it.

SS - more than once I've been tempted to have a look but I'm not that stupid. I pity youngsters who are bombarded with this stuff.

I'll give it 3 years then ALL betting advertising will be banned. Typical govts, reacting to a problem that they helped to create.

Whilst it's true in betting on sports especially racing unfortunately nowadays the mug money goes on casino games then straight into bookie/casino coffers and not into sports and racing markets,if they did still bet on racing it could bolster the prospect of getting a fair bet on instead of the dire state it is now.

They prey on the addictive personality traits

A lot of these slot providers are now producing slots with in "in game features" that can "tease"

Like the Genie Jackpot Megaways, the game lags and it gives a tease on the genie popping out, A LOT of slots like this now

It absolutely "tilts" the addicted players out there,

And there's the slot providers providing a "buy feature" option CrazyCrazyCrazyCrazyCryCryCry, its just a mega fleecing, and to advertise it and promote is morally wrong

an ideal situation for the exchange i think is if recreational punters who have a good strategy lock horns with each other and  the winners can win at a  slow steady  rate   ... it has recently been hijacked by bots, previously FPMs ...   so called 'mug punters' tend to be influenced by loads of free bets  ,bells and whistles  and  pictures of half naked women on the casino

It is the reality superjudge…..not everybody can win

We should encourage people onto the exchanges, they get better odds and increases liquidity for everybody

I have no argument in governments closing down the casino side of gambling
By:
SontaranStratagem

Its not just a case of the casino luring people in

The slots are massively different to your old "bandits" of yesteryear, a totally different animal from the past

3 reel and 5 reel slots have been replaced with "ways" and "megaways" slots. They offer up massive x wins and are massively addictive with all the new gimmicks within the game itself, all of them offer up in game features as well the usual traditional "feature trigger", there's slots out there that have increasing multipliers and cascading wins

Having played them you can easily see why the young are drawn to them, they are a massive stain on society in my opinion

What I fear is the government clamping down on gambling itself...some of us need it
By:
SontaranStratagem
When: 12 Aug 19 20:45
Yes UBLE

That's the fear, but its not sports betting that's a problem, I find it hard to believe kids today "tilt" when getting a correct score wrong

Sports Betting is more a pass time quite literally
By:

there very little mug money on the exchange now the reason being that any decent punter horse or dog cant get a bet on in the shops.

Anyone remotely successful who isn't protected via their status or connection to a particular sport has to jump through hoops to get a bet on yet can have their life savings on any casino game, that is it right there.

Everyone in this "slot community" are playing a slot called "dead or alive 2", there's a choice of 3 different features if you manage to trigger the feature, and this slot has given out 100,000x wins CrazyCrazy

Someone lost £3000 trying to "grind a wild line" on it ffs, its absolutely bonkers

Its hard to convince these young adults they are a total waste of money though, you ask them if they bet on the horses and its met with a "nah its boring"

Sad

You are right Sontaran it is a past time, an interesting one.

But there will always be some people who will gamble themselves skint, they cannot stop themselves

I have no problem with limiting the casino side at all,

But once  we start down this road there are some people who want gambling banned altogetherShocked
By:
SontaranStratagem

Its why I said forget the FOBTS a while back

They can literally sit on their bog on the phone and spin at £50 a pop on these things Crazy

UBLE

Oh there's politicians out there that want gambling stopped absolutely, but there's a lot less people going broke betting on the GGs than there is spinning on the slots

There used to be a certain level of esteem and dream attached to someone who could beat the bookies and live from betting on horses especially,it was my ambition from 9 years old to be a pro punter reading betting tales from Barney Curley,Phil Bull,Alex Bird,Jack Ramsden,Paul Cooper and more who were all successful at times when you could get a bet on.
Nowadays haven't heard of any kid with the same ideals who isn't already bred into a sport like horse/greyhound racing and if there is anyone who's any good they'll quickly find themselves restricted to pennies before they have a chance to get going.

On the wider issue of gambling addiction especially online the issue that's often glossed over or not mentioned is that of Bookmaker Affiliates who earn money from the losers who click through their adverts to bet with bookmakers, check out twitter the place is full of charlatans under the guise of tipsters/betting related sites.
By:

In fact for a while my brother had such a scheme going as a couple of kids he knew did this and were earning 4 figure sums each and every month for posting some bookmaker/casino offers online to vulnerable muggy gamblers.

Bookies can make millions slowly ZZZZZzzzzz with horse racing or make millions in quick time through cra*k cocaine of gambling

Denzil

Same with casino streamers on youtube, they are sodding loaded Crazy one particular affiliate on youtube (use to post on here, calls himself bandit slots) has literally bought a 300k house through his affiliation

Some are buying 20,000 pound cars as well, they are living the dream over there CrazyCrazy
