Just sold an item on Ebay for a grand.Read the guys feedback.He is infamous for not turning up to collect and obviously not paying.
What do these type of people get out of this kind of stunt??????????
Very common problem and you cannot leave a buyer negative feedback,you can only be negative with the comments attached.
He says he is collecting tomorrow with the cash.

When you are selling anything for a Few quid on there Spec if its a Car you need to Watch the Auction , Cancel Bids then Block the bidder , for some reason there are a lot of false bidders on Car auctions ....
Why ebay are not banning these idiots ,is beyond belief ..

I once sold a car on ebay the winner was a last minute snipe bid. two men car dealers came down from Glasgow and then tried to knock money off or little bits here and there on a 15 years grey **** import.
tolf them to funk 0ff the contacted the second highest bidder who was more than happy to honour his bid, so knock little bit money off for him.
The other time was a lad bought my old coffe trailer then said he had changed his mind would pay me the £100 paypal deposit, so that was fine with me so again I contacted the second highest bidder who give him his due came up nearly 300 miles with the cash, so again give him some fuel money for his trouble.

All in perfect condition and seriously bloody heavy...
I had it down as collection only, but some tw@t messaged to say could I send it by carrier, and he would send me £15.00.
He suggested a carrier who he had used and they had a depot near to him...
Do I organised it and packed it, which was a hell of a task, and next he was asking how much the carrier cost was,
and he would send it by Pay-Pal.
Then comes the aggro...The carrier had called on three occasions, when he was not available,
and had suggested he picked it up from the depot.
Next they contacted me to ask if they should return it.
I spoke to him and he said he was a Special Constable (big alarm bells ringing)....
Anyway, that was the end of it except that the bent special constable never sent the delivery money!
Not another word from him, until about ten weeks later, when I was asked by e-bay for feedback.
I told them that the item was sold, but I didn't receive the delivery costs.
Instant response from the Special Constable tw@t....
"Two batteries do not hold charge, not as advertised, and doesn't reply to texts"....
At that point I had sold a fair few other things, and had a 100% seller rating (or whatever they call it), which then took a nose dive!

Think the lesso here is to state that winner pays a deposit within 24 hours or the sale is void and thet are reported, also I have noticed alot of sellers will not accept bids froim sellers with low or no feedback
Not sure what is meant by a deposit, as the whole amount has to be paid, as pledged, at the point of sale (or am I missing something)

you can state that the winning bidder pays a deposit straight away .what I dont understand is why you sent the goods before he paid in full?
He did pay in full, other than the separate arrangement for the carrier which, from memory, was about £17.00.
Remember please that I was a "rookie" in this business, and all part of the learning process, of which if I was naive,
and expecting others to have the same moral standards as myself, I have obviously learned lessons along the way!

All of my other transactions received glowing praise, and one in particular stands out as touching, and humbling!
I was selling a real hair wig, and had a message from an interested person, who said she wanted to buy it for her mum, who was losing her hair from chemotherapy.
She said that she couldn't afford it at the time, but was also selling some things, and hoped to have the money in a couple of weeks.
This was a £200.00 item and I had it listed at £45.00.
I told her she could have it for £25.00 and she said she could manage that, so the deal was done.
Just two weeks later, she sent the rest of the money, and gave me the most touching review.
I know she was only early 20s, and a single mum, and I know the area where she lives, which is council or ex council houses.
Like I said at the start, I have never felt more humble, and wish I could have given her a big hug!

If you relist your car make sure the winner pays a deposit via paypal within 24 hours, also state in your auction that bidders must have more than 20 feebacks anyone with negative feedback will have their bids deleted. Have you looked to see if the 2nd highest bidder as good feedback if so you can always contact them see if they are still intrested?
