When I was little, about 5 or 6, I was given the option of an Action Man-type figure or a Barbie-type figure, I think it was from collecting coupons off the back of a Weetabix packet or the like.  I chose Barbie but for a very good reason.  I wanted to take her clothes off.  Which, if anything, is more hetero than playing with an Action Man.

Kids are taught about transsexuals from aged 5, something aint right about that,really not right!!

I suppose I must have been about 9 or 10 when I first 'found out' about gay people.  Although I'm sure I must have used the insult 'Don't be gay' before then, but without knowing anything about it.  I remember wondering why gay people had to be together.  'If a man likes willies then why doesn't he just look at himself?'.

When I was about 7 I used to get a book once a week or fortnight called The Human Body.  Each edition would explain something about the body and there would be some plastic model that came with it.  As time went on you built a model of the body with all the organs in it.  Then the Reproduction issue arrived.  I still remember the words verbatim: To make a baby, the man puts his penis inside the woman's vagina.  My. Mind. Was. Blown.  I asked my parents if that meant a man had put his willy in my teacher's vagina.  They said yes and the next day at school I could not stop staring at her.  Not in a sexual way; just pure disbelief that a man had put his willy in her.
