thought this was a strange incident when i first heard the reports. Machete & "stabbed" officer "will make a full recovery" statement was issued very early considering he was "critically ill in hospital". Then i heard the perp was being charged with GBH & not attempted murder? It is usually the policy of the police to go with the more serious charge in the 1st instance

I'd have thought the question was how can you not be hurt from a machete attack.
|
|
By:
So quick is the progression of stories nowadays I'm not even surprised he's gone from "critical" to "made a full recovery and is bouncing around the streets again" inside a few hours
EVERYTHING is quick today, markets drop 4% in one day, that would have taken weeks if not months to recover 40 years ago, but today its just a minor drop, its recovered back to record highs inside a day. Mental times ![]() |

Should be obvious that if a machete (the pointed end..) strikes multiple times you're not hurt. Hurt means you've fallen over the cat and done your knee.
As Baph says, most odd. |

A2 to feel pain in a part of your body, or to injure someone or cause them pain:
Tell me where it hurts. My head hurts. She says that her ear hurts her. Emma hurt her back when she fell off her horse. Several people were seriously/badly hurt in the explosion. B1 to cause emotional pain to someone: She criticized my writing quite severely and that hurt. He was badly hurt by the end of his marriage. to cause harm or difficulty: A lot of businesses are being hurt by the current high interest rates. These allegations have seriously hurt her reputation. Hard work never hurt anyone (= does no one any harm). informal One more drink won't hurt (= won't cause any harm). |
|
By:
i have never ever heard a press report/police release say that a police officer who is laying in hospital "critically ill" is "expected to make a full recovery" within hours of the incident that put him there

Thems the times, bap
Its like the system is being run by absolute re*ards at times |
|
By:
I think they are trying to downplay it because they know cops need to be perceived as all conquering super heroes, that will hunt down anyone in seconds
So desperate these elites that they are begging people to sign up to the police force, not to protect us from criminals, but protect themselves from us in my opinion |
|
By:
you know what, SS i was thinking earlier that there maybe a spoof info merchant on the loose feeding the MSM numpties. It was only the other day that a press release said that the tw at who threw the child over a balcony; was due for trial on 22nd August. I said at the time that was sharpish, then only today the trial date is now in the New Year

By:
Bap, makes it look swift and they want to condition people to it
Sadly for them they are relying on lazy humans to get it done, and nothing is quick with humans today lets be honest |
|
By:
well something strange is going on; so all options are open. Sad when you can't trust the press

You didn't post from the same source: Put that knife away before someone gets hurt. |

I copied the text that was in the box.
No matter which way you dress it up charlie, you cannot just be 'hurt' from 3 stab wounds. |
|
By:
In my definition anything that causes you pain is classed as being hurtful. I really don't see the argument anyway.

A man has been charged with attempted murder and possessing an offensive weapon after a police officer was stabbed in the head in east London.
The PC was attacked as he tried to stop a van in Leyton early on Thursday. He managed to Taser his assailant while being stabbed in the head and body. He suffered multiple injuries but the Met Police says he will recover. Muhammed Rodwan, 56, from Luton, is due to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on Friday. |

ok is this a wind up? He has been charged with attempted murder & wait for it..... Being in charge of an offensive weapon!
some strange goings on in the land of plenty |
|
By:
Well, well, well, this is a bit of a shock to discover that the individual charged with this sickening and cowardly attempted murder has a Peace-Loving first name.
Surely this is a silly big old misunderstanding? . http://news.met.police.uk/news/man-charged-following-attack-on-police-officer-in-leyton-377688 |

Strange how MSM persist with "PC was stabbed" when you slash and hit with a Machete....and never stab !

Is this knowledge you've gained from watching all the jungle films where the ' one in front ' is clearing the way ?

London with all its jungles is not more foreign to me than some parts of darkest Africa
|
|
By:
One would think that would could chop with a machete or perhaps slash with it.
But looking on the internet I see some Machetes do have a point, so the attacker must have used one of these. We need a picture of the machette to decide this |

savages in darkest London

There's a video of the aftermath. The PC is on the ground, hands and head covered in blood. Truly sickening.
The use of the word 'hurt' must surely have been to downplay the incident. Today they're emphasisiing how much suppport the family are receiving and NOT on the barbaric crime itself. Nor a discussion of the failure of East London's multi cultural disaster. |

Utterly baffling thread - weird how none of you can even express an opinion on the white bloke that beat, raped and murdered an 89yo woman and just found guilty. Of course, if Recce Dempster had been black then there would be a thread pages and pages long - i really don't know how low i would have to be mentally to only get angry, or even as now just express an opinion, when the perpetrator of a crime is not the same colour as me.

I doubt anyone knew the colour of the machette attacker until tictacmans post at 2235 and then we were only guessing.

Spyker is a very very very poor version of lfc. Not with the racial nonsense; but trying to get a rise. Lfc is a master of the twitchy post; spyker is an amatuer. He's not worth the replies he receives; he tried a couple of topics last week that went down like a burst johnny

I think most of us could make a good guess.

well the 1st major clue came with the first, or was it second report? The one that said "Police don't think the attack is related to terrorism?
