You don't need a bleed screw you need some sort of rachet spanner I tink!
|
|
By:
Thanks mate, but that's not what I'm looking for.
If you want to take the handle off a tap... you need an allen key to loosen a screw... What is that screw called?? |
|

Phillips
?! |
|
By:
Sorry mate,
Queen Victoria and her builders didn't use allen keys when I was a boy! |

Just trying to comprehend what you are wanting to do!
These are usually made of brass and, crummy though it may seem, are referred to as "Brass Tap Head Fixing Screw"! They can be either "Slotted Head" or "Cross/Philips Head" (I never saw one for an "Allen Key")..... |
|
By:
I guess you are wanting to change the valve...correct?
|
|
By:
Bit of a long story.. I'm off work with a horrible back..
(this is totally irrelevant) I'm helping a friend who's bath mixer tap (Niagra falls) has an issue with its Franke Bern adaptor. Easy fix would be to change the Franke Bern adaptor... Try finding one?? ![]() I like coming up with easy (sort of bodged fixes) so i drilled a small hole in the adaptor but needed a longer Grub screw to bite in... Works perfect Lady Faye Verrit Dont know what youre describing in the first post.. The Franke Bern adaptor sits on the valve... |

lybertyne: it is one of my favs. John Pym might not agree though
