These are usually made of brass and, crummy though it may seem, are referred to as "Brass Tap Head Fixing Screw"!
They can be either "Slotted Head" or "Cross/Philips Head" (I never saw one for an "Allen Key").....

Bit of a long story.. I'm off work with a horrible back.. (this is totally irrelevant) I'm helping a friend who's bath mixer tap (Niagra falls) has an issue with its Franke Bern adaptor. Easy fix would be to change the Franke Bern adaptor...
Try finding one??
I like coming up with easy (sort of bodged fixes) so i drilled a small hole in the adaptor but needed a longer Grub screw to bite in... Works perfect
