Paul Simon was definitely underrated as a vocalist
Acapella version of 'The Only Living Boy In New York' is sensational https://youtu.be/jEZcnXuzPck (although he has the benefit of an echo chamber.) But the harmonies of the two together, transcend overwhelmingly, any solo vocals they did, either as S&G or in solo careers. The '...silently for me' harmony at the end of 'Homeward Bound' choruses touches God. |
