BBC yesterday lasted until the end of Boris's first full day to launch the first (new) mass assault wave proclaiming No Deal wuld be the end of the world as we know it.  Strangely ofcom just targets RT for bias. Have they ever watched C4 news?

all i've seen since he moved in to No 10 is doom gloom & MSM rhetoric. I'm waiting for the assault on 20,000 new police jobs to rear it's head. They are terrified of showing any joy towards the new administration, because they know their EU paymasters are watching

They've started straight off with the negativity on that, did you not watch the Bash Boris Corporation at 1? "Not enough police stations" "Not enough training places" "Competitive job market which will make recruitment difficult" etc. How dare he have ambitions and a positive attitude to trying to do something.

I wonder what the BBC were like during WW2. "This is sh1t, we haven't enough troops, an MG42 has a higher fire rate than a Bren, the Tiger Tanks are SCARY, their uniforms are better, we don't have enough diversity and transgender representation in the SAS and Commandos, lets not even try".

I'd stick every last BBC journalist (except Neil) in a sherman tank in a heat wave.

well i saw some of that last night; do they not realise that people will see that as unwarranted negativity? Maybe they just don't care

In his book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell actually talks about this phenomenon from a different perspective. During WWII, Germany was trying to blitz (a heavy bombing technique the Germans used to crush their enemies) London, but their plan backfired.

Why was this? Because these near misses gave the people of London a new confidence, an extremely emboldened, inspired vigor in their lives. There were many who were killed, but there were many more that were near death but not harmed. So, instead of feeling scared, they were invigorated. They felt a sense of invincibility.

Many times, the plans used to foil us turn into our greatest triumphs. Mankind has an uncanny ability to restore what is broken and adapt to rough, even deadly, circumstances in order to survive. Our instinct for survival is unparalleled on this earth. So when we reach a low point, the lowest of lows, and we recover, we now know that space. We’ve been there and we’ve come up out of the ashes.

Tell that to the inhabitants of Venus....they let their CO2 runaway unchecked and they are now very crispy.

According to a book I once read the only people on Venus were women. I'm guessing the CO2 ran away because it was fed up of being nagged. Wink.

Could not make it up if you tried

Agenda 1: push diversity? check
Agenda 2: We pretend to hate Boris and tell the peasants they all doomed? check
Agenda 3: somehow manage to convince the peasants that 1 and 2 are somehow interlinked and its all good? check

NEW Lib Dem boss Jo Swinson admitted on Tuesday that even if Britain voted for Brexit in a second referendum she would still campaign to reverse the decision.

She vowed never to change her “fundamental belief” that Britain is better in the EU.

Liberal: willing to respect or accept behaviour or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas.

Democrat: a person who believes in and upholds government by the people; advocate of rule by the majority

I think it's fair to say the party needs rebranding...

Imagine a political leader of the right, lets say Trump or Farage, suggested a vote he lost lost be re-run, and a demographic he had idenitified has supported him got votes counting twice. Imagine the reaction, cries of fascism and undemocratic.

Well it's precisely what Nick Clegg, ex and most famous recent leader of the LDs said in 2017, he said re-run the vote and people under thirty's votes should count twice.

WTF.

It's the same reason they, Labour and the SNP etc want votes given to 16 year old children, they tend to vote for hand wringy lefty fluff and are easily manipulated. If 16 year olds were RIGHT leaning never mind FAR right, they'd have no interest in giving them the vote, it's not principle that drives it, it's self serving.
