Exactly sixtwosix. We have had a couple of days this week and a few more days throughout the year. Compared to last year, it's been much cooler, whereas mainland Europe have had it red hot for a while now. The UK suffers climate change every fekking year. Hardly ever the same year in year out.

We've had a cool Summer apart from the these 3 days. At times it's been chilly. Put the heat on in June.

Scandanavia had 30 degrees last Summer over a decent period of time. Mostly less than 22 this Summer.

Nothing said.

Not heard one CM scientist/commentator call for a pause to immigration let alone housebuilding. Why??

It's the Met Office who say their official records go back to 1884.

It's an increase in temperatures caused by people.

Over 80% of the Earth is uninhabited so if we are warming up it's probably outside our control.

Charlie - temperature data only exists for the last 130 years or so. Therefore, there is no way of knowing if the planet is getting warmer. Similarly, I don't know how the Guinness Book of Records can say that the oldest person ever lived to be 122yo - how do they know that Adam, Noah and Methuselah DIDN'T live to be in their 900s like the good book states?

I have my doubts because the Earth is 71% water and apart from the tankers and oil rigs it's empty. Most of Africa and indeed China is underpopulated. Africa is massive and has very little industrialisation.

Russia, Canada etc have vast unindustrialsed areas.

Not sure me driving a diesel makes a lot of difference but I may be wrong.

There are weather cycles/ages and always have been and always will be is what I  think.

Had to Google GBoR. I was trying to show a contradiction in what you're saying. On the one-hand you're saying that temperature records only go back 130 years so you believe them but on the other hand you believe in an ice-age before those temperatures started being recorded. There are other ways of determining temperatures other than a thermometer.

I have no idea as to why we have these extreme weather cycles, I just think we have had them and think we will see them again. But we could be talking in 1000's of years, not the relatively short 100 years or so we can pull data from. My thoughts are we have and will always have climate change.

We always will have climate change. The question here is the globe actually getting warmer because of man or not. The overwhelming evidence is that is it getting warmer because of us. It's not a natural cycle but a man-made one.

Climate change has been cyclical over the millions of years this planet has existed... hotter, cooler, hotter, cooler. Nothing, where temperature is concerned, is static. It fluctuates over the eons. So, climate change is a definite.... but, man-made climate change??? Do me a favour. Don't be so daft. If it was that easy to change the climate of an entire planet, let's go and change the climate of all the planets in the solar system. It can't be that difficult surely??

Today its been 22 degrees and tomorrow is 19 degrees, so our 3 day "armageddon heatwave" is over and we wont be back above 25 probably for the rest of summer
