one has to be very careful these days; sad but true. I used to love giving ladies a smile in shops - bars, wherever. She could have screamed her face off, & you would have wasted a but ticket. Then again, we are all gamblers on here

You should have alighted in a state of undress and taken advantage of her low self-esteem.

I saw a documentary once called on the buses. All the women in it were up for it.

Ericster...still on the nude protest ?

Were you going to Tesco ericster?
|

By:
Eric, if she is not half your age then grab those nuts and live a little.
Be polite, a little humorous,a little complimentary, and gauge the response. 3/10 you might be a winner, 7 times you might be on your toes, but who cares, you haven't insulted anyone. Life is most definitely too short for what ifs. |

RB, I neglected to mention MY low self-esteem.
![]() KC, I'm strictly Asda. I'd go to the co-op before I'd shop at Tesco's. peckerdunne, late thirties I'd guess. She really did look in need of a boost. Seriously, I felt sorry for her. Her thin lips, mouth tightly closed and curling down at the sides. She looked as though she might burst into tesrs at any moment. btw, what if is the story of my life. ![]() |

i'd say get over your preoccupation with women (pretty or otherwise) she probably wanted to be left alone ...not everyone is attention seeking in their nature .
Richie prob correect ,self esteem issue perhaps |
|
By:
Yeah, you could be right Cb.
|

you were well meaning though
OTOH it would've been interesting to see her demeanour amongst a group of rich men in a hotel ![]() |

My advice is follow that route every day. She's bound to be there more often than not at that time.
First a smile, next day a wave, then the universal "fancy a drink" hand motion on day three. If she's still there on day 4, I'd get off and introduce, and ask her what her problem is. |
|
By:
Ohhh... dear,
dt2, I notice facial expressions and this person, okay, this...woman, seemed lost, abandoned, scared almost, and... for the briefest of moments, I cared. That's all. |
|
By:
Smile and see if she smiles back?
If she looks scared after the said smile maybe back off then |
|

It seems she is near half his age so he should leave well alone or risk looking like a right dick.
D2easy, don't take his advice anyway........... |
|
By:
Lol! Yeah right, thanx a lot SonStrat.
LOOK! I caught a bus on a Saturday morning, could have been any bus, going anywhere. They don't all have the same routes. Mine went the way that it did. People got off, and on, as they do. I saw them and I saw her. It's all so very random. I'd never seen her again and might not see her again, as with every other face in this never ending procession of bus-stops, would I even recognise her if I saw her again? Would it matter? Do I care? Jeez guys, it was a standout, that's all. |

d2,
It was a moment in time and now it's history. |
|
By:
Talk about moments in time:
And NO, it's not funny. As I waited for a bus today this old man appeared and lingered among those waiting for a bus. " F***ing c***s, f***ing buses, two f***ing buses, going to the same f***ing place, turning up at f***ing once. They had different routes to travel of course. " F***ing stupid, f***ing c***s." He was saying to no-one in particular. If you want entertaining, go wait for a bus. And yes, this really did happen today. At a bus stop. |
|
By:
Also,
there's another goon that frequents this small bus-terminal, if I might call it that, he was there today but I stood some way off. I don't get too close to these people, I know they can't help it but jeez, who needs it? If you get within a few yards of him he'll ask you which bus you're waiting for and if you respond you'll get a full rundown of when it should turn up, if it's likely to be late, he probably knows the bus-driver, and his dog. Makes me think of that old Beatle lyric, " all the lonely people...." I don't know where come from but it seems as though they're all going to a bus-stop, MY bus-stop. ![]() |

crashes into us to die by your side is such a heavenly way to die |

If we're gonna do this, I'm gonna need a bit more positivity, ericster.
Leave it with me. I'll have a think today about the best way forward. |
