Very sad day indeed, best guy the BBC have by 1000 miles, as evidenced again the other day with his interview of Blustering Boris.
It's time like this I wish I was catholic so I could legally drink Blue Nun.
As it if to rub the hurt in, before that at 9pm on Remoaner Channel 1 we have "Britains Brexit Crisis" with Nick Robinson, he of the quote:
"‘The referendum is over. The duty we broadcasters had to “broadly balance” the views of the two sides is at an end."...

The greece cover was shockingly bad! Still I'd put up with this every week to keep this show.
He's the last journalist at the BBC I respect and it's the only political program it had left worth a damn. Neil is apparently a workaholic who is absolutely clinical with doing all the appropriate research, and it shows. Politicans don't like lying in front of him as he'll cut them down while waving his notes and they'll know he'll have the data there. People of all persuasions were praising his performance with Bojo the other day. Q.v. The awful coburn hosted daytime chat show which is what we have left weekdays, or the useless Smith who was parachuted to replace him on his sunday show, straight after the BBC "we're not paying women enough" furore, or Andrew The Remoaner Leftie Marr... |

Newsnight is another show that's so downhill. A succession of awful hosts (apart from Emma Barnett who is good). The insufferable Maitlis the other night had Rod Liddle on by looks of things NOT to discuss the subject he'd been brought on for but to attack him for not being PC enough for her BBC sensibilities. Reading her attack from the notes she'd prepared was a giveaway, she'd prepared for this attack and it was NOT what he'd been brought on the show to talk about.
