It has to stop in this society of inclusion.
I visited a vegan place yesterday and unlike a standard place like the harvester which as well catering for
carnivours they have a selection of veggy dishes and a vegan section.
Where as the place we visited only catered for the vegan community.
This exclusion would not be allowed if for example they had a sign that said no gays on the door.

Please help this crusade against the exclusion.

A vegan man came up to me in the street and asked if I had seen his wife.
I said - I don't think I even know your wife - So he showed me a picture.

Then I told him I definitely hadn't seen herbivore Cry

Go on YouTube MT, see for yourself what happens to some animals. chickens and pigs boiled alive, cows getting skinned and having parts hacked off whilst fully conscious.
In the egg industry male chicks are useless and are usually chucked alive into a grinding machine.

Not saying people shouldn't eat meat, but people should know how it gets on their plate and why it's so cheap.

There are quite a few vegetarians and vegans on Chit Chat.

Veganism in particular has definitely grown in popularity in recent years. Loads more choice at the supermarket nowadays. :)

My brother is vegan, he has to eat 3 tons of food a day to maintain a weight of around ten stone. This is very time consuming in prep and eating, not everyone could do it imo.

Most people are working, continual grazing is not really an option for a lot of them. I'm currently working at a place where they get 15 minutes at 9.45 and 15 at 3.45, plus half hour lunch. It's hectic in the canteen.

I can imagine, what I used to do when going out for the day was pack pre cooked meals like rice (microwave 1:30) and fruit + drinks but get the drift my brother said similar when talking about this.

I'm working with about eight men on communication trucks Denz, they move around a lot -with tools and gear- between various vehicles and workshops, so carrying food around is not possible. It has to be kept in the canteen and they don't go in between breaks. There are cameras everywhere but I doubt that makes any difference, rules is rules. Similarly shop assistants and checkout staff would find it almost impossible, it requires dedication to be vegan and most of us haven't got it, many of those who try will lapse.

Being a vegan is easy these days. I weigh fourteen stone and don’t have to eat huge amounts of food to maintain that weight.

Before becoming a vegan I was a vegetarian for thirty-plus years. My maximum weight then was close to nineteen stone.

The stereotypical image of a vegetarian or vegan being pale and weedy is a fallacy.

No, sir, I'm not a heavy drinker at all. One or two pints of lager per week is about it for me.

Here's a photograph of me at nineteen stone. I'd been a vegetarian for about fifteen years at this point and was training six days a week in the gym.

It is a complete lie that a person cannot be fit, strong and healthy on a vegan or vegetarian diet. The opposite is true.

Lots of myths around mainly due to all the pre paid propaganda from the meat, dairy, eggs and fitness industries as well as Big Pharma and the government.

Carl Lewis was a vegan and won more medals than you shake a quorn sausage at.
Also talking of that, recent study widely reported showed Quorn was twice as good at building muscle than milk protein (i.e. whey).

Doesn't count. Lewis failed at least three drugs tests for banned substances and putting him forward is therefore ludicrous.

IT's hard to date that photo, but given you can clearly see the twin towers in the background, I'd say new york 1997?Wink
