For me Rafa is getting schooled by Roger.
Report Angoose July 12, 2019 5:53 PM BST
If Rafa holds here, he'll take the set.
Report SlippyBlue July 12, 2019 5:55 PM BST
I'm literally in bits here, Nadal just has to win this set.
Report Angoose July 12, 2019 5:55 PM BST
BIG Hold
Report SlippyBlue July 12, 2019 5:56 PM BST
I hope you are right Angoose, I'm in a bit of a horrid position right now but if Nadal makes it 1-1 I can steady the ship somewhat.
Report Angoose July 12, 2019 5:56 PM BST
After that rollercoaster start to the set, expect a few relatively easy holds, action to pick up from game 7 onwards.
Report acey deucy July 12, 2019 5:58 PM BST
Federer gone 4-7 fav.
Report Angoose July 12, 2019 5:58 PM BST

Report SlippyBlue July 12, 2019 6:09 PM BST
Hold his serve now and the game has totally turned around, Nadal in charge for sure. Fed looks a bit spent to me.
Report Angoose July 12, 2019 6:09 PM BST
Tank job
Report SlippyBlue July 12, 2019 6:10 PM BST
Come on Nadal, that was a lovely set to watch, Fed didn't really participate in that set.
Report Ibrahima Sonko July 12, 2019 6:10 PM BST
How many times has federer lost a set 6-1 before ?

Sure federer can come back into it.
Report acey deucy July 12, 2019 6:11 PM BST
Roger far from spent slippy only a slight hic up.Cool
Report Angoose July 12, 2019 6:11 PM BST
That's a lot of momentum to push back against and a helluva guy at the other side of it, Nadal never eases up.
Report SlippyBlue July 12, 2019 6:11 PM BST
1.6 Angoose, good shout. I would not be taking on Nadal @ that price personally.
Report Angoose July 12, 2019 6:12 PM BST
First service game will tell us a lot.

Report SlippyBlue July 12, 2019 6:50 PM BST

Very dangerous to take a position before you've seen the lay of the land when players of this stature match up.

the most stupid comment ever in sport ive ever heard, when fed won a point in the last game , a castle said "different league"
Report SlippyBlue July 12, 2019 7:46 PM BST
Sometimes you lose and you think, OK, that happens in life but I totally enjoyed that match.

Elisjohn, maybe he meant the game was a different league, but I doubt it.

Would have been nice to get a deciding set, but Roger was The Daddy today.
Far from a formality for Djoko on Sunday if the same Roger turns up.

Roger the dodger into his 12th final.....some going @ 37 years....will meet Serbia's top seed Djokovic at 14:00 BST on Sunday.

Federer's eight Wimbledon titles are more than any other man in history and if he beats Djokovic he will match Martina Navratilova's success in women's singles.

i was a semi pro footballer quite fit and fast, i had an injury aged around 28 that stopped me playing. aged 35 i started training again, at 38 training weights/ running every day , well nearly, i was running a sub 50 second 400 meters, nothing special in that maybe but still not bad for a near 40 year old. i may add i never took steroids in any form, my point is in this case people if they really want to can improve in their late 30s.ps when i played soccer my 400 meters time was 58 secs .
