Internet trolls; a growing problem

Trolling is recognised as deliberately inflicting hatred, bigotry, racism, misogyny, or just simple bickering between others.

not true, or never used to be in the olden days

trolling used to be about harmless shitposting, derailing conversations or winding people up rather than abuse

i particularly like the false information.  part

I particularly like using the 'ignore' button on them - a waste of time and space, these cretins.

They used to bother me a lot - constantly starting threads calling other people trolls

Nowadays I just chill out and listen to this .......

Wow I agree with Aaronh, stop the internet press!

Troll and trolling is one of these things that stupid people in the meeeeja/politics took and tried to twist into something totally different as they didn't understand it in the the first place. It has a meaning. It wasn't always harmless but it had a meaming. They've now tried to turn troll into meaning "anyone who does anything I disagree with on the internet", much as they call anyone they politically disagree with a racist or fascist or nazi. Like the pr1ck on This Week last night trying to suggest Boris and the Farage were like 1930s Germany.

Maybe they should have just called anyone who says something that mildly offends anyone "internet hitlers"?

Talking of "Being Offended" I found this amusing :)

The dwarfs are more prevalent than the trolls

Hi Ho Hi Ho , Its Off To Work We Go!!

We did dig dig dig dig dig dig dig

Sorry, just copied that off some idiot that put the first dig as did.

I'm offended at that, you're a small person racist.

Impossible: that is ok for a time, but it changes when the troll brings others in to the issue by including & addressing them whilst spouting lies & abuse
Then it elongates; which is no doubt why it is now an offence punishable by law

now even the dictionary is fake news

it appears everything is against the law these days, no one can say anything to anybody without someone being offended, sad place we are in.

I live in a happy place. You just offended my place

Baphornet, I experienced that on the horse racing forum - these cretins tend to hunt in pack for personal security and ego boosting. I just 'ignored' the lot of them; small minded and easily led cretins are no friends of mine. Then, they'll soon realise they are on a lost cause.

good man; & you are so right about the pack mentality; little bum fluffs jumping on the bandwagon when they think they see a victim. This place is full of them

If people can't stand the heat, stay out of the Kitchen.

Complain to Betfair Baphornet, if they think your complaint is true, they may ban the offender

that is probably one of the most stupid posts that has ever been posted anywhere!
shame on you U/R

to your 1st post, UR, they are monitoring the situation without my help; they have removed many posts without assistance from me

Why complain? This is a public forum unless the poster is personally abusive and vulgar. If professionally, I'd see them in court, and that usually will shut them up!

The Jo Konta thread has mysteriously disappeared Bap - but surely it wouldn't do any harm to forward your link to her Bap.

I saw a piece from her father Gabor stating that "our friends in blue" are already looking into some of the on-line abuse she has been subjected to - apparently there are laws against it.

that is probably one of the most stupid posts that has ever been posted anywhere!
shame on you U/R

I am sure I have put up many posts just as stupid Baphornet

I was banned some time ago because of what I said about a person after they complained

There is a button to report people...it says report.

oh deary deary me, the troll mentions 2 things (that i stand by)  that i have said on here in topics of which there must be 1000s every day on Betfair. Then tries to switch it to direct trolling threads that are said directly to the other party. What an absolute numpty; what would you like - everyone who passes comment about someone else in the whole world in general conversation arrested? Try the horse racing forum or football, the jails would be full in a week! There is a difference, troll even you should know that; but hey you carry on trolling me directly because that's allowed eh.

UR, i misunderstood your post & i apologise, i was halfway through a crash on here (anyone else experience it?)

Yes, for a couple of minutes I thought I was banned.

That's ok mate - I thought you were using an anonymous internet forum to attack various women that couldn't answer back - we must have got our wires crossed. Bygones!

" unless the poster is personally abusive and vulgar"

he is

apologies Baphornet

Uble/Regy - I enjoy your posts very much   but can you settle a bet for me?

Are you Young Mr Grace?

no need UR, my fault

Impossible; have a look at the "Aldi" topic, bum fluff mania

Thank you Leopard - I am very much aware as to who is doing the trolling - but now you have appeared on the scene i'm even more confused as to who he thinks I am. It has just this moment clicked with me that when he calls me "cat", he thinks I am you. It's so confusing keeping up with who he thinks I am. I thought I was WolverCat (from way back in the day). I can't keep up with his imagination.

I think that "cat" post was to me and you mistook him talking to you

He was replying to my first post "Is guinness to dear ?" at the start of that thread.

He is scared that he will be found out to be g2d as he will be banned again....if he is g2d that is.

No - he thinks I am "cat" - he has called me it several times when you have not been around..... here's one....

Baphornet    07 Jul 19 19:21
you tried to get rid of me in February, cat. Your stalking & wild assumptions didn't work then (i've kept all of your comments) & they won't work now. You did however take a much needed sabbatical for a few months soon after your devious little plan didn't work, although you did manage to get some others removed (bravo to you Braveheart) May i suggest you don't make yourself needy again by trying to remove me. Just have a look at what's happened to my troll in the last couple of weeks

I was out of the country for all but the last week of February!

Although to be fair the day before he posted the above I was apparently Charlie and then I was Edy and on the same day as I became "cat" I then made a passing comment about Wolverhampton and that turned me into Banks.

the wind must have changed on here; the bum fluff has moved topics Numpty central

Ok - I'll stick to being Banksy then - so long as I know who I am meant to be!

I really couldn't give a flying fig who he is or who he was - I tried to set him free yesterday.

He reminds me of a young Raven that I hand reared as a teenager - when I tried to set it free it would not fly away.

More like an old chi-wa-wa

I've had hereditary diseases that were easier to shake off!

So your doctors notes seem to corroborate

Don't bring the Doctor into it - I have only just seen him off on General Betting. It wasn't easy - He is a mathematical wizard

Crippen ?

Seriously, have you people got nothing better to do with your time than to continually post inane nonsense? Just a thought.

(Politically, I'm left of centre....not extreme left, btw)

I'm middle like Tommy.

Piggy in the middle ?

Towed in the hole?

As Slippy says some people need to have a word with themselves.
Just kiss and make up.
Mind you if you enjoy trolling each other fil your boots as you are probably sparing somebody in the real world getting grief.

Trolls are so easy to deal with, all you have to do is one thing. Just ignore them, drives them crazy.

Indeed Shanlee1966, trolls are easily dealt with.

Uble/Regy - I enjoy your posts very much   but can you settle a bet for me?

Are you Young Mr Grace?

yes...The management

All you have to do is block them.
In my time on here i’ve blocked 2.
One no longer her and the other was JC.
Not saying he’s a troll but he was being a pain.

blocking doesn't work; my troll just involves others & the bum fluff gathers. It's all on here, see for yourself. That's why i blow a bugle now & again because i know what he does. I got accused yesterday of debasing a fellow posters dead mother by a piece of bum fluff called the leopard; he couldn't get me banned in February, so he jumped on board yesterday with volumes of abuse. That's the level of trolling i receive. I keep bringing to the top a post he made when trying to gather the bum fluff; so what happened yesterday precisely proved my point

Wevs.

Blocking does work.

There's several here on my sh1tlist and my life is infinitaly better for that. If other's choose to get involved (okay, yeah, in you're case mea culpa but it was only for a bit of a laugh) then ignore them, which I'll admit can be hard when you feel you're being pulled every which way by a nasty little no-mark.

Ultimately you've got to be the bigger man.

I've never blocked anyone nor reported a post in the 19 years I've been on here. If I don't get on with someone I just ignore them, job done.

Don't bring the Doctor into it - I have only just seen him off on General Betting. It wasn't easy - He is a mathematical wizard

The Management is what you might call an apprentice troll.

He's a bit dim, so I'm bringing him along slowly until he gets the hang of it.

42

Your list there looks almost identical to my list of people to troll.

How is it different ?

It's slightly shorter.

Don't worry...it's how you use it that counts

Yours is about half as long as mine.

You said your was slightly shorter !

*yours

I sayed yours was.

That Sado sounds painful

this is what bum fluff wrote; i understand perfectly

Are you g2d?

Crags thinks you are him....I'm not sure.

Crags thinks you are Brian_Cox from you tube.....are you ? If you are him, then you said some very nasty things about Do Wah's dead mother.

not only insinuating i'm a banned poster, but that i am also some character from youtube who posts filth like that, & as everyone can see, not only once on this topic
there is only one reason you would post such stuff; & that is to try & get me banned. You tried it in February & failed miserably, then you disappeared for 3 months to lick your wounds.  The moment an issue pops up like "The Management" you jumped in like a buzzard on flesh; you then have the utter audacity to say i'm trolling you? Grow up sunshine, grow a pair & pick on someone you can handle. Btw - posting banned posters filth from other platforms is truly sad. Maybe as you like that 'topic' on youtube so much; you're the infamous Brian eh? What better way to deflect away from your own nonsense than to blame someone else!

btw please please block me

For those of you worried about trolls, avoiding that bloody youtube thread would be a good start. And there's plenty of other great tunes in the PJ Harvey cannon.

gotta say this Baphornet-The Management feud is one of the worst on this forum

it's not a "feud" it's him trolling me, i never follow him onto topics, have a look at the dozens & dozens of times he's done it to me. I only have to start a topic & there he is

This guy loves the sound of his own voice

i'm off out for dinner; the troll & bum fluffers can enjoy their sad selves on here

I'm going to block you soon....you won't like it....trolls never do !

and what if Do Wah read it? Do you think it is acceptable to repeat it? Or don't you care as long as you get me banned? Nice of you to cherry pick as well. Me troll you quite possibly the most inane post ever written on here; but i'm sure you have written more

now i really must away as my Aileen really will sock me

Do Wah probably read what was posted on YT....I haven't repeated what was posted....keep up !

I thought you where going for dinner?

the leopard, Brian? 8 months you have been trying to get me banned (less your wound licking episode) so it's you who needs to "chill out" Let it go dear boy! Hows that for keeping up?

The Leopard • February 13, 2019 12:02 PM GMT:

Flapwasp, it appears has been stuck in a jam-jar for a couple of days !
On hearing the news he was banned

Now tell everyone on here what you find so funny about a fellow poster being banned?

now perhaps we can all enjoy a great days sport without any distractions? Good luck all

To Baphornet / g2d(?) / BC(?) :

My laughter was at the pic of "you" I included just below that sentence ......as below :

Flapwasp, it appears has been stuck in a jam-jar for a couple of days !

And ...yes....great day of sport ahead :

Tennis final  (CH4)
Silverstone
Cricket
Tour de France
Poker WSOP - final table - 3am

yes of course it was; & it had nothing whatsoever to do with the writing above & the fact you wrongly thought i was banned. Maybe just post the pic next time eh? Brian Cox seems to like people getting banned, does he not?
keep digging

You were banned....you had to squeal to Betfair to get re-instated....

Anyway....I think you are just trolling me.....so I am blocking you......bye !

PS. Also taking Mouse Muldoon's advice by not looking at the YT thread ... don't give the trolls a platform.....advise others to do likewise.

Trolls hate to be invisible.

Crags not included....oc..... jnasgft wpkv ngdvjs bknd ndy ksbgr (code 3)

The Ealing Curtain Twitcher thinks people are bothered that he has blocked them.

Akapuka....you still supporting The Duke of York ?

Rhetorical question.....oc...can't see your drivel.

MEX,DAVE,DETROLLER,AKAEBOLA,EDY,CHARLES are all trolls, ive had them pounce many times ive posted.I had got to the point where I e-mailed Betfair to complain about these keyboard bullies thinking they would deal with them, nothing,so I complained again and again, everytime totally ignored. This tells me Betfair support their actions but the real worry is why hasn't Betfair banned me when some are banned at a drop of a hat?

akabula has always been a toll. He was equally as bad on Poker on here when it was popular.

You still a racist Allin?

He was such an idiot on the poker if I recall that a friend of mine abused him so badly that akabula went crying to Betfair. akabula was always getting abused. Just seems to have that effect on people.

That bad lol Win a Million finalist at the London event.
Was your friend called AllinG btw?
