Just been on the defra website.
The scale is 1 - 10. Today, most of England, including London, is 1, 2 or 3 (Low). Rural Wales and pretty much all of Scotland is 10.

Tmorrow, the whole of the UK is forecast to be 10.

Could lower locally. When I input my post code, it gives mostly 2s or 3s. However, the forecast for my post code on the met office site is very high.
