Kim Darroch resigns

Going to make an fortune doing an advert for Ferrero Rocher NAP

the nutcase now on trying to defend her "support" for him yesterday

Is the president of the USA now in charge or do we have to wait for Boris till that happens?

Is this the first stage of Take Back Control? - let the President of another country choose our diplomats for us.

Spot on The Management.

Darroch has dedicated his life to serving his country. A man of honour.

But the nutcases would prefer a Trump sympathiser in the role.

So much for 'taking back control' indeed.

the nutcase losing her cool how wonderful

Politicians are mimicking football Chairmans lately. Support is a death nell

why couldn't the last 2 years have been like this; mucho fun

when do we find out when the rat is then?

We are just showing our strength

He won't be the first casualty of our "gaffe prone" future prime minister - although even Boris has excelled himself here - Trump must be pleased that he has a new poodle.

the "Special Relationship"

An honourable, honest, hard working man gets thrown under the bus by half-witted imbecile obsessed with his own self-interests. Has this ever happened before?

Loving this seethe^^^

tee-hee!

Thank you for your valuable contribution twister22 - fascinating!

seeeeethe

one can only hope that Molly Robbins will be doing the same ASAP

Molly, the nutcase, the nodding dog. 3 of the reasons why we've spent 2 years in limbo. All 3 will be history shortly

Don't think there is much honour in leaked e-mails, however honest they are.

writing down uncomplimemtary comments about a President & it's administration, is not very bright. If he hadn't, there wouldn't have been any leak

The person who leaked the email should be found guilty of treason

There is nothing to be enhanced by the leak of the email except sensationalist column inches and it has the potential to undermine the wealth of the UK, which in turn inevitably leads to loss of life somewhere down the line.

Good to know Boris is always on the side of the British, will always defend and stand up for them instead of throwing them under the bus without any resistance.

They should keep the last bit of the reply to Darrod's resignation letter & use it when they're accepting Boris's "We have been lucky to have you as a friend and colleague. You are the best of us"

the russians will eventually get the blame

nah Donald

Part of the art of diplomacy and self preservation is the ability to panda to people of power's ego.  When they relinquish power that is the time to throw them under the bus.

I panda'd to somebody once - I ended up with two black eyes!

The email was foolish, the leaking of it treachery, and the resignation honourable.  End of.

A proof reader is often desirable to avoid spelling mistakes.

I thought the emails stupid, the leaking treachery and the resignation inevitable.
His comments are not what you'd expect of an ambassador. Maybe when talking privately to friends he could open up but not when acting in an official capacity.

Great idea by him to slag off the  President of the country that he is an ambassador to .  I bet he's a right c u n t.

All this talk of him being a great servant to the UK? WALOFS
Just a posh boy with his nose in the trough... Earning a fortune paid for by the taxpayer

And of course the media make the story look bad for Trump & Boris. My heart bleeds for this guy

How dare he give his honest assessments to the people that pay him for exactly that. Also, I mean, it didn't tell us anything knew. Everyone not totally blinkered could see that Trump is inept and also just got out of the Iran deal out of spite towards everything Obama.

What a horrible and silly man he is to suggest building a wall, how very dare he....we have an ocean and we still can't/won't stop them coming in by the droves.

who knows maybe he wasnt speaking of trumps government but of ours  is there a seriously more pathetic lot than ours.

Self made billionaire and successful independent presidential candidate is an idiot?  If we set the bar that high that would make nearly everyone in the world an idiot.  He does have a massive ego, is unconventional and throws his toys out of the pram, which if I'm being kind to the media is why he gets a bad press.  In reality I think it's more sinister than that.

Regardless calling someone an idiot in one's official capacity as an ambassador is not the language you would expect.  It's the sort of language you'd expect on this forum.  It's unfortunate for him that some scumbag leaked it to the press, and that scumbag should face criminal charges.

self made billionaire, my ar5e, he got $100ms from daddy.  Just about everyone that has dealt with him in government has called him a moron.  Prob best to accept that he is one.

he inherited a lot and he made a lot more with it.  Not just about everyone in government believes he's a moron.  Don't be so gullible

so how much has he "made"?  He seems to be spending a great deal of lawyers time preventing anyone answering that question.

and

It’s worse than you can imagine. An idiot surrounded by clowns. Trump won’t read anything—not one-page memos, not the brief policy papers; nothing

If you believe the 4d chess nonsense, you must be the gullible one.

could have gone into virtually any drinking establishment in the western world and you'd likely have got the same opinions about trump off most of the punters. they were hardly highly illuminating
