You say that, but Morrissey's solo stuff post The Smiths is a million times better than Marr's.

Shops gone, mate. Punting for a living now and much easier and less stressful than having to find £4k a week expenses per shop, dealing with all the ridiculous regulations now plus the usual payroll, tax payments and  general problem solving of running a cash business dealing with Joe Public. Should have got out years ago.

I loved The Smiths and saw them a few times, I have seen Morrissey many more times. His voice is still impressive and he has great stage presence, when he doesn't cry off sick he is always excellent and insists on promoting his latest album rather than a greatest hits tour - which I kind of admire even though I (and the whole audience) would love it if he just played his old Smiths stuff with a few of his classic solo songs thrown in. A couple of his solo albums are very good, "You are the quarry", "Viva Hate" and "Vauxhall and I" I still listen to them on occasion now and think they still stand up well.

i love Morrissey as well, pixie never fear

i'm surprised you lasted as long as you did with the shops. Indies have no chance these days. As for punting, i think i'll go back to workLaugh If it wasn't for politics & the odd other sport i'd have been back long ago. It helps when your good lady earns the crust thoughWink
