Good thread, Leopard Grin

I will be dipping in and out of the tennis but I won’t want to miss a moment of Andy Murray playing. It’s easy to keep track of him when he plays singles but I’ve never followed the Doubles before. I hope the BBC show all of his matches.

I don’t even know if it’s been confirmed that he is partnering Serena Confused

I need to do some research.

I’ve just remembered, I’m still a member of the Andy Murray forum. They will be posting up his match times Happy

From 1 hour ago : (bbc)

Andy Murray says he still wants to play mixed doubles at Wimbledon - and Serena Williams says she is "available".

Murray, 32, is still searching for a partner after being turned down by several players including French Open champion Ashleigh Barty.

The Scot will play in the men's doubles with Pierre-Hugues Herbert as he builds up his fitness after hip surgery.

"We just have to wait and see," said American great Williams, adding she "likes to be tongue in cheek".

Williams, 37, has only played five tournaments this year because of a knee injury, although the 23-time Grand Slam champion says she is "feeling better" going into Wimbledon.

Williams has not played a competitive match since losing in the French Open third round to fellow American Sofia Kenin.

"Let's see how my knee's going," she said.

Thanks for that, Leopard.

It seems like Andy’s matches could be played on Centre Court or Court 1, because of safety concerns for him.

Why are the Beeb showing a minor women’s 1st round match, when Britain’s No1 is playing on another court?

Excuse my ignorance but I would have thought 15 was too young to be able to compete at Wimbledon Confused

I’ve watched far too much tennis today. It’s addictive.

Is there a lower age limit to competing in "adult" sports I wonder?
If toddlers were able to compete in Limbo competitions, it would make a total farce of it!

Baphornet has PM'd me - he says his tennis contacts and spotters have been in touch with exclusive inside info - keep it to yourselves (as apparently nobody else knows about this yet) - but apparently there is a young American girl playing in the ladies singles this year that might be worth a bet at big prices. Her name is Ovaltine Guff.

Bap says - keep it to yourself chit-chatters - inside info like this doesn't come along very often and we don't want to spoil the prices. He thinks she will get through at least the first 3 rounds.
