Bunch of hypocrites aren't they.
When all that fuss blew up a year ago about women signing NDAs in sex cases they were of course appalled at this sleight on justice and silencing the horrible truth.

TODAY I read that Labour are threatening legal action against former Labour staff members if they breach NDAs by coming forward with evidence about Labours being (as we all know) anti-semitic.

So much for principle eh, comrades.

Now if i put up a topic named "The Conservative Party? how many replies do the think would be raining down? The trouble with snipers is, they need everything to go their own way; therefore it is much easier to snipe, rather than defend

Many Labour voters are a bit lazy imo. Voting the way their parents did saves em having to look at what they are actually voting for.

My parents always voted Conservative, I couldn't vote for Thatcher as I hated her. I waited a long time and eventually voted for the new Messiah, Blair. I haven't voted since, and won't again.

i've been struggling with my conscience & beliefs for a couple of years now, saddo. I've said many times on here that i couldn't vote for anyone in the House to be the next PM. My own Party is pathetic; across the benches is even more patheticness. We are crying out for a decent 3rd Party, but i can't see the powers that be allowing it to evolve. All in the political system is kaput. I had to vote for Bozo over the weekend; not because i want him to be PM but because i want Twunt even less. A sad state of affairs

Sat through it. Nodded off for a minute. Thought it was pretty dull and no revelations whatsoever. Was looking for some kind of smoking gun but none there. Heard there was some selective omissions from some of the information but of course this comes from Labour sources themselves.

I didnt watch so cant comment on the actual programme though. Thought there would be more newly committed anti racists coming in here but they must have been watching Love Island instead like me Excited

There are issues that need to be solved and it doesn't matter what the Tories are doing or how many bad faith accusations are coming from people who dont care about Jewish people either. There are plenty who hint at the reason for this supposed newly found antisemitism on the left, those are the ones you can tell dont have a clue.

Good point made on Twitter that people like for example- George Galloway are the types of people who may have mainstreamed this kind of thinking on the left.

very true; but one mustn't forget who makes the most allegations of anti-semitsm?
Report anxious • July 11, 2019 1:02 PM BST
hornet you should chill there is lots of alleged racism anti semitism etc through british society , for people to pick on Jeremy and his friends is mischief making and sensationalism, im not denying there is a problem though in Labour and throughout the rest of the country

Report anxious • July 11, 2019 1:10 PM BST
ok fair enough i respect your view , can i ask hornet are you Jewish ?
Report Baphornet • July 11, 2019 1:16 PM BST
no, or i would be a lot more vociferous. I do however have Jewish friends; but that doesn't mean i agree with everything they say, as i do not. However, there is enough evidence to form an opinion about Jezza without any Jewish connection. He has done himself, or his Party no favours in his handling-or lack of in these matters. There lies the problem
Report anxious • July 11, 2019 1:23 PM BST
listen hornet i hear what you say but i dont think he is anti semitic i think he criticises Israel and America , i know lots of Jewish people in Manchester who have always been Labour and they to are are very concerned , its out of order if there is a problem  and should be addressed

I think people need to be awfully careful with this idea that you can be anti-Israeli but not necessarily anti-Jewish, i.e. anti-Semitic. Israel is, after all, the only Jewish nation-state on this planet, and thus often criticism of it often shades imperceptibly into anti-Semitism.

I think Corbyn has been criminally weak in calling out the anti-Semites in the Labour party, and one can only conclude that is because he shares their views wholeheartedly.

As a former Labour voter, I find it increasingly disheartening because I'm pretty much clueless as to who to vote for in the next general election.
Report saddo • July 11, 2019 6:08 PM BST
Labour cannot be seen being pro-Jewish, there are only a quarter million of them here and support for them might alienate the millions of labour voters who hate them.
Report UBLE/REGY • July 11, 2019 7:11 PM BST
I will continue to support Labour....

Anti Semitisms well I don't see myself as such, but I must say I wish Israel had not been created, but it has been.

I would just like to see the Palestinians treated better myself, the only practical thing that can be done.

I do not support Terrorism in any shape or form.

There's an awful lot of levity on here regarding the current parlous state of the Labour Party, but people don't seem to realise just how serious this issue is. Of course, for those who are anti-Labour, it is hilarious. But for those of us hoping for much needed change, it's depressing at best, deadly at worst.

Why do I say that ? Labour is not providing strong enough opposition to what is one of the most ham-fisted governments in recent memory. The idea that the Tories are the ' natural party of government ' is a joke, but if Labour don't buck up their ideas, the same set of incompetents will still be mucking things up for years to come. And most critically, that means more austerity - and austerity is killing us.

How do I know ? It was partly responsible for my mum's death five months back. Today I received a report from the South East Coast Ambulance Service trying to explain why an ambulance was 95 minutes late in attending my mum when one should have arrived within 18 minutes - she was having a heart attack. The report makes it clear that under-funding in both the NHS and ambulance service were major contributory factors in help not getting to her in time. The first ambulance was called at 05:18 in the early hours of a Friday morning, and there was nobody available to attend. When they finally tried to move her to the ambulance at 07:15, it killed her.

Yes, it is that serious. The Labour Party, or someone, needs to step up and hold this government, and the Tory Party, to account.
Report bluebook • July 17, 2019 3:31 PM BST
I hasten to add, before anybody else says it : I don't necessarily think Corbyn et al will be any less ham-fisted in government either, and that is what is so depressing about all this. Where's a progressive alternative ?
Report Baphornet • July 17, 2019 3:49 PM BST

Report bluebook • July 17, 2019 3:58 PM BST
Thanks Baphornet. Not nice to see your mother die in front of you. That's the reality of austerity, I'm afraid.
