I heard them on radio 4 extra a few years ago..Dover played by Kenneth Cranham

I think they are supposed to humorous...Dover was very lazy.

I think I have them all. They were my mother and grandmother’s favourite books. The radio drama’s featuring Kenneth Cranham were good, but very much abridged versions of the originals.
