Waiting for my drugs, I saw a notice on the counter, that they are now charged at £9.00 per item!

Jesus H.C!!!

I have six, ongoing, plus two, as and when needed!!!

It is disgraceful, and insulting, as there is no way any of such will cost anything remotely close to such cost!

What can you do, unless any are available over the counter, and few will be!

GP's income is said to be 20% from their prescribed drugs!

Surely this is immoral and potentially dangerous!

On my last routine visit (but with a different doctor) he said he was changing one of mine for an alternative!

Only reason I didn't ask why is that I was already struggling because of my deafness!

There is no doubt in my mind, that it was for no other reason than for reward!

I will be addressing this, next time, with my GP of choice!

The elite have developed cures for cancer and other serious diseases but keep them for themselves. That`s how the illuminati are all old men and women in their 90s.

^ listen!

Been on pre-payment certificate for years now. Cost 10.40 per month (10 months), although that is likely to go up after this latest rise. I'm on 6 drugs per day; saves a fortune and even more when you have those one-off prescriptions that are included.

I do believe NHS prescriptions and dental treatment is free to the populations of Scotland and Wales and probably for the masses that have relocated to England from abroad

Just one of the reasons the SNP have been in control of the Scottish Parliament for so long.

I assume OP is on 1 or at least is not paying as implied in post, but if they are then it's very irresponsible from the chemist

Never knew that Dr C... that'll lighten the load in a few years, if it isn't changed before then.

The charge is subsidised. I doubt if that's any comfort though.
