Remember chaps YouTube changing on the 22 of July

It’s already happened as far as I’m concerned. For several months now whenever I log on to You Tube a raft of anti-Trump videos from CNN or MSNBC are featured.

It’s a worrying trend which I hope can be countered somehow.

They are cracking down because they don't want you to know the truth, only the propaganda they push at everyone. The web is going the way of the mainstream media, heavily controlled by the self appointed authorities who convince the masses that they're important enough to be where they are.

No, the algorithm used to give people suggestions based on what they watched. If people prefer 'right wing weirdo' stuff, as you call it then that's what they got. People like the truth. They've now altered the algorithm to give us all b0locks

Youtube has been s*** for years

Once they introduced adsense it was only going one way, once they realised actual truther channels were gaining traction they soon kicked them off their platform by way of hitting them with strikes, meaning they had to set up another channel and they were never getting re-monetised ffs

Back in the day it literally was a platform for everyone, but for 5-7 years now they've slowly kicked any real truther off of it

Alex Jones has been used to basically kick all "truther channels" off of it, wont effect Alex Jones because he's sponsored and takes in millions in donations, hence he can build his own website and still get his c*** out there

I think of a full circle as having 360 degrees, so am having trouble understanding “a curvature of 416 degrees.”

My basic way of looking at it would have been to assume:

A. The Earth is about 25000 miles around.
B. 360 degrees divided by 25000 is 0.0144 degrees per mile.
C. So 60 miles would represent a curvature of about 0.86 degrees.

Where have I gone wrong there? A curvature of 0.86 degrees is quite a bit different from 416 degrees!

Approx 97 thousand metres in 60 miles the earth curves at at nearly 8 inches per mile . 60 time 8 is 480 approx ,statue 93 metres high so to answer your question bud 48 degrees rounded down to 42 degrees approx yes bud I was wrong ,I take it back,...still don’t see it from 60 miles though

It’s not 48 degrees (or 42 degrees) though, is it mate? It’s nothing remotely close to that figure. It’s 0.86 degrees.

Also, it’s important to learn where the person is standing when they can see the Stature of Liberty from 60 miles. Standing on the deck of a 100ft ship? All that would make a big difference.

Regarding your Statue of Liberty discussions, the apposite calculation is rather simple. Distance to the horizon in miles from the height of an observer is approximately equal to 1.23 times the square root of the height in feet. Therefore, standing 300 feet above the ground, one can deduce that the distance to the horizon is 1.23 (√300) or roughly 21 miles.

Without accounting for terrestrial refraction which varies considerably dependent on atmospheric conditions, I would contend that Lady Liberty cannot be seen from sixty miles away when viewed from ground or sea level. Who says she can?

I must conduct a little research on just how much terrestrial refraction can affect an observer’s maximum line of sight. A have a hunch that it might be quite a considerable distance.
