Even if true there's nothing the US can do as no one died?

warning shots telling them to stay out of their airspace?

It is a pity Iran is not near Gatwick Airport

They could have shot that drone which grounded all planes at Gatwick last Christmas

I hope this is not building up to a US invasion of IranConfused

People are not over keen on too many Muslims in our countries

So in fairness we have to stop invading their countries.

Surely you aren't suggesting there is a link between the US/UK utterly devastating these countries and the people that live there wanting to leave?

Different views on where the drone was shot down, international airspace or on Iranian airspace

A US military drone has been shot down by an Iranian missile near to the country's airspace.

A statement from the US military's Central Command said the intelligence drone was downed in international airspace over the Strait of Hormuz, south of Iran.

It added that "Iranian reports that the aircraft was over Iran are false" and that "this was an unprovoked attack on a US surveillance asset in international airspace".

This contradicts reports by Iran's state-run IRNA news agency which said the country's Revolutionary Guard had shot down an American drone in its airspace.

IRNA said the drone was hit when it entered Iranian airspace near the Kouhmobarak district in southern Iran's Hormozgan province.

Like i said before, there won't be any invasion like in case of afg and iraq. First, Iran has weapons and will most probably use them as well. Second, fighting through contractors is profitable for both the weapons manufacturers and the private armies that fight on the ground. In today's world there is no need to move whole armies, especially in this case when America is already present in afg and iraq, so getting more bases in the region doesn't make any sense.

My guess is America wants to feed one of the local powers(Saudia) and sponsor a conflict in the region. And for that it really doesn't need its own sheep on the ground. Salman gets to play the big bully in the region.

An 'intelligence drone' is just another word for a spy drone . The US intended to spy on Iran . Iran didn't want to be spied on . Iran removed 'intelligence drone' . End of ! Crazy

No way Reynard. You can't think like that. Once America asks for the UK to supply troops, how do you think those kids are going to get involved with that sort of a mentality?

Iran obviously violated america's rights in international airspace. End of.

Nuclear weapons is the answer. Simple as that. Else they'll get bullied all the time.

The nuclear deal that Obama and Europe entered in to with Iran was far from perfect, but the answer wasn't for the US to walk away from it. But that's Trump, a bully with the biggest toys who expects the world to yield to his tantrums.

Donald told Hannity, dontcha worry bout a ting, cos every little ting gonna be alrite.Laugh

At the same time, Trump has sought to calm nerves, and continues to privately express wariness at wading into another foreign conflict.

"Don't worry about a thing," Trump told interviewer Sean Hannity on Fox News on Wednesday evening. "Everything's under control."

For Trump, the situation will provide a test of his willingness to engage Iran after weeks of escalation, including attacks on oil tankers in the Gulf.
