Another very good funny song has just come to my mind and there's a sad back story
to it too . The song is 'Ballad of Tom Jones' , by the band Space . About 10 years ago I was cycling through Liverpool 8 , I stopped to buy tobacco from an off license and a fella waiting outside the offi asked me did I have a spare 50p , I gave him a quid . We then got talking , amongst the things he said to me was that he used to be in a band called Space , I couldn't recall them but when he told me they had a hit with a song called 'Female of the Species' , I remembered who they were . He told me his name was Andy . We talked for about half an hour . Andy , then asked me did I have a spare quid , I gave it to him and then wished him well and said bye . I seen him go into the off license . About a year later , I read that he fell over in the street and died . R.I.P , Andy Parle . |

No he wasn't drugged up , Johnny . The poor lad was just going through a very bad time
and he made the wrong and very dangerous decision to use alcohol to try and cope . I've been there many times and it's not easy to stop . When I used to heavily drink alcohol , I felt it was the only thing that kept my head above very dark emotional waters . |
