Thats what they want, they always get you in the end through their software they pull the carpet from under.
Apple are the worst, I bought an Ipad pro a couple of years ago and it slipped down between the desk and the table and landed on the metal desk foot on day two and produced a crack in the glass I enguired how much to repair it and was quoted 700 quid and the device was only 200 quid more to buy |

Depends where you live, but there are people out there who will undertake repairs at reasonable prices.

Its on a virgin contract so just stick the sim card in an unlocked phone?

I had a Samsung that would not charge and I thought it was broken, in the end the charging port needed cleaning out.

The logic that someone expert in cutting keys will also be expert at mending shoes takes a giant leap of faith in suggesting

Unless the port is visibly broken, I'd be almost certain it's just filled with dust and fluff. A quick poke around with a bent paperclip, and it sometimes looks like you must have had dormice hibernating in your pocket. |
