Inside the phone itself, how much does it cost to get it repaired?

Dont think they repair much nowadays
Its the landfill generation
You are expected to keep throwing away devices older than 6 months

I'm sure there's repair phone shops?

I think I'll just ring up for a replacement to be honest

Thats what they want, they always get you in the end through their software they pull the carpet from under.

Apple are the worst, I bought an Ipad pro a couple of years ago and it slipped down between the desk and the table and landed on the metal desk foot on day two and produced a crack in the glass

I enguired how much to repair it and was quoted 700 quid and the device was only 200 quid more to buy

Depends where you live, but there are people out there who will undertake repairs at reasonable prices.

I had a Samsung that would not charge and I thought it was broken, in the end the charging port needed cleaning out.

The logic that someone expert in cutting keys will also be expert at mending shoes takes a giant leap of faith in suggesting
that mobile computer device repairs share the same skillset.

Timpsons are famous for employing ex-cons.  Good for them - everyone deserves a second chance.

Happy to leave your mobile computer, and information contained therein, in their hands?

I agree with Ibrahima Sonko.

Unless the port is visibly broken, I'd be almost certain it's just filled with dust and fluff.

A quick poke around with a bent paperclip, and it sometimes looks like you must have had dormice hibernating in your pocket.
