i think thats a bit harsh on folk that set it up.
its been over run and infested by some horrid people, and if they dont clean it up, pronto, they may as well close it down. 100% agree apologies are not enough here, name and shame, and sack, and jail. |

By:
i agree Donny i was venting on what has happened over the last few years
it seems they were more concerned about relationships with their donors than protecting victims |

Perhaps they could consider a merger with the BBC.

Most of these charities inhabited by ur 2/2 Luvvie Graduates ,Nice work if you can get it , and of course excellent positions
for Pedos with Access to Children ... Half the Aid Delivered is robbed and resold at inflated Prices ,so no one gets anything anyway ,by the Time Wages etc are taken I doubt if 10p out of a Pound reaches its target .. Lot of sex cases involved , Brendan Cox high up in Save the Children Had to be shifted for Molesting Female work mates .. |

It was particularly satisfying to see Cox have his true colours revealed.

Yes and hopefully that's the Last we will see of Him , But these types have ways of Making come backs there will be a Position somewhere in one of the Gold Mines or perhaps a new Mine ..

Disgusting behaviour and abuse of trust.
They will never get another penny from me. |

The area manager of a major UK charity I once worked for had been on the fiddle for decades. I’m not just talking a few quid here and there I’m talking top end 6 or potentially 7 figures. Eventually head office sussed her out, but of course they did absolutely everything they could to keep it quiet. An arrangement was reached, aforesaid manager sold her house to pay back some of what had been stolen and her immediate superiors (who should have clocked her much sooner) were quietly shuffled sideways into different roles.
Have to laugh when, from time to time, I see reports in the paper of a volunteer or sales assistant facing prosecution for petty pilfering from the very same charity. And that’s before I go into the sordid details of what eventually happens to most of the stock that is donated by the unknowing public. Imagine most of these outfits are the same. Absolute filth. |

Well said study.
It`s amazing the money paid out to people running these charities: https://www.thirdsector.co.uk/charity-pay-study-2019-highest-earners/management/article/1579223 Ordinary people earning peanuts sending their hard earned cash to subsidise the lifestyles of these rich charity staff. |

Supporting local, worthy causes, or smaller charities run by people who REALLY care is the way forward, imo. 100% agree and this is what I try to do nowadays. |
|
By:
Not always the answer though.
Most people in charge of fundraising paid generously with bonuses based on what they raise. Even those in Hospices. |
|
By:
these "chuggers" on the high street should be forced to disclose their pay,
or commission rates when asking for £5 off you in the street, of course folk need to be paid, and the most talented fundraisers will always get the best paid jobs, as charities scramble for our cash. |
|
By:
Camilla Batman should have been the end of our donations to these charities,as previous said on here local charities much more deserving.
|
|
By:
Batman got the Lot , strangely it all went Quite , Friend of the Camerons if I remember correctly ,Millions involved .

When I worked as a volunteer for my local RSPCA there were dozens of volunteers who even when entitled refused to claim expenses(petrol etc.) and I have the highest regard for the time they put in to help keep the branch open and available for animals in distress.

This OXFAM caper is a lot more than what it seems , I was under the impression it was a few support workers employing the services of local ladies ..
THAT IS NOT THE CASE , Villas were rented Vehicles Hired , Major parties were going on , I doubt very much this carry on was exclusive to Haiti , and it certainly looks like the ages of many of those invited to the said parties was not questioned. A full inquiry needs to be set up in to what was or is Going on , There is without doubt a cover up going on ![]() |
|
By:
Oxfam’s investigation concluded that four members of staff either did pay for sex or were suspected of doing so, including on charity premises.
Does that statement include rented Villas ![]() The tip of the Ice Berg IMVHO . |
|
By:
As for UK charities, I would suggest Macmillan ,Marie Curie , the Dogs trust and other Animal Charities ..

Has to be,let's face it who's REALLY interested in serving others in poverty stricken countries with little reward for yourself especially in this day and age of selfish tw@ts,Mother Theresa was the only good one I can think of. |

Be interesting to find out who was travelling to Haiti ,when and why ?
