Strange scenes outside where Corbyn refused to meet the winner and started to whip up a protest against her.

Crisp,

At what time did you realise the game was up for the Brexit Party in Peterborough?

I'm surprised they even got close. It's a Cinderella story and they only reason they got to go to the ball was because one of the ugly sisters got jailed.

Farage thought he was going to win , his problem is he is a single issue party , the rest of so called policies are further to the right than the ERG , people will realise this and they have no chance of any kind of power

A Labour activist once said to me ''the proletariat will always vote Labour.''

No matter what the Labour party does, no matter how they behave or what their policies are, it doesn't matter a jot. At the end of the day the proles will always vote Labour.
It just depends on if enough of them can be bothered to get out of bed.
Every Labour leadership knows this.

Labour needed a good result here after the drubbing they got in the MEP elections, so they threw the kitchen sink at keeping this seat with all their big guns turning out to speak.

They still only just scraped home. Which is a very poor result for Labour considering the effort they put into it.

Dr Crippen,

Do you think Roy Hattersley should be brought back to give the Labour party some help?

He'd be wasting his time with this lot.

yep doesn't matter if the main 2 parties treat the GBP with utter contempt or how inept the leadership might be a large percentage will always vote for them regardless. you just can't help some people and you can't complain if you always vote for the status quo. no incentive for main parties to change their ways either
