Do you mean genuine paid subscription streams or pirate ones?

If it's stuttering and buffering try dropping the picture resolution, it defaults to the maximum resolution it can which you may not need and not even notice. That lowers the wifi needs significantly and also it may run cooler.

If you only have basic broadband, forget it.

Main providers are blocking pirate sports streams mate.
|

The other 2 things to point out about them is that they are advertised as not needing power but a lot of TVs aren't good at powering them so they need the power adaptor.
A second and very relevant thing is if it's tucked in behind the TV, you can put them on an HDMI extension cable to give it more reach so you can position it in a better position to see the router. Doesn't need to be that long. |

Go in peace tons of sobs, may the wifi be with you.
Oh and re boosters, the 2 things I suggested can definitely help especially if it can see the router but stutters. A booster CAN help as well, I use one so I can get a good signal other end of the house, but the 2 things I did above really helped me without that, I seem to remember lowering the resolution especially, I found it in a menu somewhere. Mine used to also lock up after using it for a bit (they can suffer from overheat issues) and I think that helped that as well. I was having buffering issues when the stick was the same room as the router but behind the TV! |

Premier League won a court injunction enforcing leading internet providers to block illegal sports streaming websites, the two mentioned earlier being to the fore. Just saw this on a useful website:
"Plusnet is blocking sites used by many Kodi add-ons. And others including Sky, BT, Vodafone, Uno, O2, and TalkTalk are all blocking Kodi to some extent". |
