I know a lot about music and older guitar bands but hadn't heard of him? Strange.
Reading up .. I'm not sure "LSD and weed are great" stands well as an advert with "Mental problems, paranoia, and electroconvulsive therapy"!
(Though forcing the latter on someone who doesn't agree to it is imho very wrong.)

I don't know what part of his head tracks like Splash 1 and May The Circle Remain Unbroken came from, but they sounded like voiced from another dimension. Uniquely beautiful.
Mind you, I was losing my hearing rapidly at the time I discovered those songs, so they might be a lot less ethereal than I thought.
