With Game of Thrones at an end, its star has been reminiscing about the acting jobs she passed on. One role that she turned down was Anastasia Steele in the saucy Fifty Shades of Grey — a film in which that character has sex both upside down and after putting all manner of hoo-ha up her whevs. Clarke said she rejected it because she was wary of being “pigeonholed”. CW thought it knew all the deviant sexual practices, but it had never heard of being “pigeonholed”. That scene didn’t even make the final cut — so it must have been filthy. Fair play to Clarke.
