Ye Gods that is a shocker of a BBC 'News" report.  On what conceivable grounds does that qualify as 'News' ??

Having said that, I still believe this one below is the most contrived non-News story ever covered by BBC's UK News division. An utter car-crash of a non-story, but managing to feature the BBC's beloved Pretendy Refugees and 'Trans' individuals.

Hang your head in shame anyone involved in the commissioning and production of this drivel.

Perhaps you were hoping Maloney would be disposing of the suits at your local auction house?

Imagine being a crew-member on that completely contrived Maloney expedition to France. Having to keep a straight face for the whole expedition, and having to pretend it was a credible and worthy story.  And then the V. Derbyshire programme running the film afterwards and having to treat it as a serious journalistic investigation.

I don't think employees should be treated like that. An insult to anyone's intelligence.

YOU bankrolled all of that, and your alternative was prosecution.

I would rather they scrapped the tv tax however while all the power in this country is still in London that is not going to happen.
There is a way to regain control over the bbc and that is take back collection of the tv tax from the bbc and allocate funds to the bbc if they follow their charter and report only the facts with impartiality not someone elses political opinions.
On the subject of the bbc getting 300 million plus off the EU then I would deduct that amount and fine the bbc an additional 300 million for tacking money from a foreign body seeking to coerce the British public

One argument for the licence fee is the absence of adverts.

Firstly they DO advertise a lot. For their own upcoming programmes which are sold worldwide.

Secondly, they are supposed to report the news NOT interpret it. Their agenda on gays, Islam, pro EU, Anthropogenic Climate Change etc is a biased narrative that breaches their Charter.

Already this story about the MET wanting to prosecute 1130 ACM protestors has all but disappeared. It's a massive news story!!!!!

Over 300 languages are spoken in London, with some more widely spoken than others.

I cannot be bothered reading the Article ,I am sure someone will inform me as to what Yoruba is

and why there is a need for a Cultural Center ..

It is a language spoken in west Africa but not as many people speak it in London.
The new Yoruba class aims to keep the language alive for second and third generations.

A despicable organisation ,making the public pay up,yet paying themselves massive salaries, should be public demonstrations about this, just
put adverts on like everyone else.

The adverts would be glorious. "Tonights episode of the 6 o'clock news is brought to you by The Guardian, the US Democratic Party, and "Dry your virtue" (tm) brand social justice warrior tear wipes".
