What would your sentence be?  I'll let you know shortly what he actually received.

"Wraps"?If it is a gram per wrap (which it never is)then I would say he will be looking at a relatively short sentence as it's not a huge amount of drugs, say about 18 months/2 years but not much more than that I wouldn't have thought. Depends if he has previous of course.

I would sentence him to stand in a field, legs apart, before Owen Farrell kicked him squarely in the bollocks. Far better deterrent than a £100 fine in my view.

Is this the neighbour you were telling us about the police car at his home at 8.00am?

No aka, no idea what was going on there.  The druggie was in the paper.

2 years 8 months.  I was shocked.  I thought drug dealing was supposed to be one of the more frowned upon crimes.  No wonder it's rife.

I would sack the brief if that were me, 40 wraps of gear would be about 1/2 an ounce (14 grams) and no doubt it would be low grade stuff and would not cost that much to buy the lot of it. Don't get me wrong I'm glad the bloke is locked up but he is hardly Pablo Escobar is he?

If he has 40 wraps on him then he is a serious dealer, i would say he has 100's more at home.

I would had expected 4 years at least considering he will probably be out in 18 months.

2 years and 8 months, he will be tagged and released on license after serving 8 months.

If he has 40 wraps on him then he is a serious dealer, i would say he has 100's more at home.

This would have been established by the police when carrying out a detailed search of his home . If he had '100's more at home' then this should have been taken into account when sentencing .
However , it's quite possible that he did have more drugs in his home but there is no guarantee that this would be disclosed . Unfortunately the police have developed an in depth knowledge of the drugs trade and it would be relatively easy to find a buyer for any illegal drugs unearthed during a search and they'll eventually find their way back on the streets .
