Must get one asap, as have had three bad incidents since getting my new car!

One actual contact, where a young man pulled out at a give way junction, and two of serious and unnecessary aggression!

There are so many to choose from and a multitude of suppliers.

Please can anyone of you, switched on guys, recommend one with all the necessary features, and good value?

TIA....

Get one for the front and back, any scammers try to pull a stunt, tell them you have a dash cam and it's being lived streamed, that'll scare them off and prevent them from making trying to get into your car to take them.

I was in Halfords the other day funnily enough - there was a great selection and they were a lot cheaper than I thought.

I'm looking on Amazon and some, with front & rear, are ridiculously cheap, so tend to rule those out!

If you don't want to wire up the car I've got the Nextbase DUO HD that does the job. You can put it up and take it off after every trip.

What I recommend though is still driving properly and being tolerant. Just because you have a dash cam it doesn't give you the right to drive into someone when you can brake or avoid them.

Spot on Crisp.

There's loads of dash cam compilation videos on Youtube - half of the recorded incidents are the fault of the people with the dash cam whose hazard perception is awful.

Thanks Crisp...I'm going for that one....

Re the crash videos, you are so totally correct...

I wouldn't want to be driving in Eastern Europe, which seems to be where most of the vids are from!

think a lot of them are Russian Dash Cam vids because it's law there to have them for insurance purposes so you're bound to see more of them uploaded from there.

had a look at the nextbase dashcam, probably better off buying to seperate cams for front and back as this duel one pointing towards the rear doesn't capture the full road and esp if there's passengers

It will be fine in mine, as only have two seats, so the camera will be very close to the rear window....

Well, investigating before hitting "buy now" and it isn't going to work in my car!

The rear view mirror and associated switchgear would mean that the unit would have to be so low on the screen that it would, in itself
be a hazard by impeding on the forward view!

Additionally, it would be so low that the rear view wouldn't show much of the rear, and as a parking assist would be useless!

I couldn't fit it off centre, as the seat backs, and rollover bars will prevent any view to the rear!

Therefore I am just going to get a simpler product and, even then, will forego the rear camera as the wiring will be hideous!

Couldn't you simply have Lord Faye Verrit provide a recorded commentary of the scene out of the rear window Silly

Angoose, that would be a wonderful situation, but His Lordship unfortunately passed away, following an accident where he was riding with Prince Philip, in a carriage race, and was crushed when he was thrown into a water hazard!
