Fresh from being fired by the BBC, veteran broadcaster Danny Baker, 61, has been contracted by ITV to host a mid-morning show that will replace The Jeremy Kyle Show.

The new show will be called Danny’s Animal Farm, each episode will take a light-hearted look at the role of animals in British society throughout the ages.

Talking from his London home, Baker told us that “I’m really looking forward to this new opportunity with ITV, we’ll look at everything from canaries in coalmines to lab rats and police dogs, discovering how the use of animals by humans has changed over the years. We’ll also look into the use of animals by the Royal family, corgis to horses, bats to hamsters, we’ll check it all out.”.

The new show will commence production on 27 May, with the first episode scheduled to be broadcast on 10 June.

Danny"s first gig back a couple of days ago and he got a standing ovation from the full house, maybe people can see though the BBC and their "outrage" comments over nothing.

The Royal family are there to be shot at, it's the price they pay for fame and for receiving money taken from hard working taxpayers.

Same as footballers, if they can't stand the heat then they shouldn't be in the kitchen.
If the chanting fans kept away and the loss of revenue was reflected in footballers' pay, I wonder how they'd feel about that?
I'd say they'd all quickly grow thick skins and invite them back, then turn a deaf ear to the insults.
Which is how it should be.

The Royal family are there to be shot at

Oh I'd better explain that before the trolls report me or if they already have.

That's ''shot at'' speaking metaphorically, not shot at literally with a gun.

Of course I'm gambling here by assuming the moderators will know what speaking metaphorically means.
