Always enjoyed her movies ,an under rated actress,Love me or leave me with James Cagney ,a great dramatic role of hers, and basically turned her back on it all to look after abandoned animals .A life well-live ,well done Doris.

very saddened to hear this, wonderful singer and very good actress, and an extremely attractive woman when she was younger.

Was taken to see Calamity Jane when I was 5-6, and apparently enjoyed it so much, demanded to be taken again.

Did great work rescuing animals for the last 40 years or so.

A talent that puts most of today's laughable Hollywood "superstars" to shame. She also managed to exist in the public eye without the incessant virtue-signalling and  hypocrisy of today's inadequates.

A globally famous talent when that actually meant something. Could act, sing, make us laugh and generally entertain the viewer.

And for the era it was released in, this was something of an erotic classic, assisted no end by the backing vocals of the peerless Blossoms.

My favourite film of hers is ' Teachers Pet' with and an ageing Clark Gable.
Had very bad luck with the men in her life.
Her son Terry Melcher was the intended victim of the Manson Gang but they didnt
know he had moved house.

My Mother really loved Doris Day . As a child I would often hear her sing songs like 'Nick Nack Paddy Wack'and Do Re Me , etc, .My mum's fave film was 'Love me or leave me' .

One of the biggest Hollywood star of the 50's , I believe .
Legend .
