Typical Feral Leftist response. No debate just abusive language & aggression. Whats wrong with you people? Why anger all the time?

I thought he was a very composed speaker and gave a fascinating interview. A real insight into attitudes of a different era.

An interesting historical figure.  Not all of us are into the Kardashians et al.

How/why would anyone find this, or see links to it. Or want to spend 1/2 an hour watching it?
It isn't general public interest.

Like you just have?

Is it a form of hero worship?

Anybody say it was? Worship! Why would you say that?

It's interesting how certain posters seem to put up (without ACTUALLY saying why) links to, what is considered, far right support with various harking back to Nazism and how it wasn't really all that bad etc etc.
So we need to pick and choose which parts of history are allowed? C'mon man open your eyes and take off the blinkers.

He was certainly interesting!   A social climber, a political butterfly, interesting that his oratory used lots of quite modern tricks, also used by Churchill and later taught to Mrs Thatcher. He was finally jailed in 1940 largely for his association with Fascism.  He apparently had a brilliant mind which he "consistently misused". He certainly was interesting.

Anybody interested in modern history would want to watch it. He tried his best - without success - mimicking Hitler`s poise and oratory style but came up well short. I agree with blackbarn, he was certainly an interesting historical character, as were his siblings, the Mitford sisters. The BBC Mini Series entitled Mosley was a very good tv drama.

Mac - the Mitfords were not Mosley siblings.  He just married one of them - Diana...

Diana, the Hon. Lady Mosley (17 June 1910 – 11 August 2003), born Diana Freeman-Mitford and usually known as Diana Mitford, was one of the Mitford sisters. She was first married to Bryan Walter Guinness, heir to the barony of Moyne, and upon her divorce from him married Sir Oswald Mosley, 6th Baronet of Ancoats, leader of the British Union of Fascists. This her second marriage took place at the home of Joseph Goebbels in 1936, with Adolf Hitler as guest of honour. Subsequently, her involvement with Fascist political causes resulted in three years' internment during the Second World War.

Thanks for correcting that blackbarn. Time (and Malt) can cause errors.

Quite right blackbarn - the water of life. You will have a better night`s sleep for it. Enjoy.

How`s your dad? Hope he is well. Does he enjoy a Malt before bed?
Report blackbarn May 10, 2019 11:32 PM BST
Thanks for asking Mac.  He's ok for 92 but getting very frail. Fortunately we are on hand (same village) but he won't be able to remain in the old family home for much longer. He is actually a Gin (Plymouth) man but he hardly drinks. He still loves his food though and is a joy to cook for. He enjoyed Chester this week too - "bloody dog track"!!!!

Glad to hear that he is well for his age. Chester was bad. Going spoiled it. You should have followed your dad!
