Why is the government letting the Chinese get involved with our communications?  We are more than capable of building new networks ourselves.  This whole 'leaks' saga is being used as a distraction.

I doubt even May's government would think "let's create a leak story to make us look incompetent, untrustworthy, and an infighting government falling apart" is a good political strategy...

OP is wrong. We are not capable of building the kit ourselves because our electronics industry barely exists any more. Racal, Plessey, Marconi either went bust or were sold off. It turns out all this globalisation and free markets malarkey we've been fed for the last 40 years or so has a downside.

We need to just get on with building a proper BRITISH network based on battenburg cakes. If anyone thinks that's a daft idea, simply remind them we're British and we used to have an empire so are automatically cleverer than everyone else so suck it up loser snowflakes. #JRM4PM
