Bit of Guinness trivia for you, their world famous beverage isn't black, nor is it brown.
Guinness is actually dark red.

Try tipping your glass and look through the liquid directly in to a light source.

Where are you staying mate? I'm looking at the Jurys Inn because I know the name and cant be @rsed to look around to save £30. Was going to fly from East Midlands but the hassle of airports has tempted me top take the ferry from Holyhead mainly for the experience of the ferry.

Steve, I didn't make the arrangements, but was gobsmacked by the cost of hotels. Jurys was defo on the list, but we might have gone for a different one. All very expensive I'd want a weeks holiday for that. Its for a couple of 'big' birthdays. I think we should have booked earlier.

Our friends are staying at Trinity City Hotel - you might like to check that one out. Looks good.

We considered ferry, but decided to fly to from Brum avoid the hassle of the ferry!

The good thing about sea sickness is that you quickly feel fine once you step on to dry land

Angoose, if you eat a piece of raw ginger about the size of an oxo cube the night before you go board a boat or go deep sea fishing you will never get sea sickness. I've been doing that for many years and I've never once felt ill.

Never heard that one before, will store if for future use.

I suffer from sea sickness, but enjoy long distance sailing.

Almost every trip I've been on, I've been sick during the first few days and promised myself that I will not put myself through the experience again, only for my sea legs to appear and the enjoyment of being in the middle of the Atlantic or Bay of Biscay overshadowing the prior misery.

I once watched a tv show that was covering the Volvo Ocean Race, undertaken by the best long distance sailors in the world.
One of the guys was shown below deck, clearly distressed as a result of sea sickness, and questioning why the hell he was putting himself through the experience once again.

Having been that man on so many occasions, I felt so much better for the knowledge that the greats also suffer like I do.

Anyway, back to the Guinness theme, they have also tried to be cutting edge with their advertising.
The recent 6 Nations mothers purse campaign being a good example.

However, what does the forum say regarding the current Guinness Clear campaign ?

Like most tourist attractions massively overpriced for very little content, its got six floors shows you the history of the guinness family and the brewery you get a chance to pour a pint on the 5Th floor and get a free pint to drink takes about 45 minutes to see it all.
