Attorney General William Barr on Thursday morning transmitted a redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller's highly anticipated report on Russian meddling during the 2016 presidential campaign to members of Congress, making public for the first time substantial portions of the nearly 400-page document.

The Justice Department's release of the redacted report comes just weeks after Barr penned a four-page letter conveying the special counsel's "principal conclusions."

In that letter, Barr described "two main" Kremlin-backed efforts to influence the election, but states definitively that the special counsel's office did not find evidence to suggest that members of the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with the Russians.

The special counsel's office made no conclusion on the matter of possible obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump, Barr noted, but Barr himself determined that the evidence against Trump did not amount to a crime.

Didn’t “redaction” come to prominence with Hutton or was it mp’s expenses?

I've never watched line of duty and I know what ■■■■■■■ means.

If it wasn't for Line Of Duty, we wouldn't know that Jed Mercurio believes that the police service is corrupt at every level. Scared

Mrs Zsa Zsa is a lawyer so redacted is used on a daily basis here.

Years ago a man discovered a dinosaur but they edited out the true scaryness of it from the press release and subsequent scientific article on it.
The guy who discovered it was annoyed so put it back in, and they redacted it again, a "bi-redact" as it's called.
He put it back in AGAIN and they redacted it AGAIN!!!! At this point the man was sick with rage and stress of it all.
His final and final attempt he renamed the monster to show what had happened and the effect it had on him.

And that is how the ter-redact-ill was named.

Watched only one episode of Line of Duty and found it appallingly far fetched.
However I did know what redacted meant.

I think in the interests of true comedy you should redact that JC, or do I mean retract. Not sure now. TBF I walked under a chemtrail today.

Yea it's not my best work Sad. Still, better than anything Frankie Boyle has managed in 5 years Excited.

"I walked under a chemtrail today."
Remind me: Is that 5 year bad luck or does it mean you'll marry a lizard?

I do like Line of Duty, mainly for the Ted Hastings one-liners.  But it is a poor man's Between The Lines

I've backed Line Of Duty for the 2000 Guineas.

In Politics redacted = doctored or watered down version of the original.

Best line of the night looked like being from Hastings’ boss with “i’m Veering towards muffins” then Hastings knocked it out of the park calling Arnott a “wee gob****”.
Report impossible123 April 22, 2019 11:43 AM BST
Do you think Hastings is guilty? The killing of Corbett was ghastly, and the way he was killed (suspected yes) was gruesome; finality next week in a double bill, I think.

More Hastings red herrings last night than unsold Cadbury's Easter eggs in ASDA this morning Grin
Next week is episode five of six.
Report RacingCert April 22, 2019 3:16 PM BST
Certainly are a lot of red herrings.
They like a good twist.
I’ve got my suspicion and I think it is definately not Hastings.
Report impossible123 April 22, 2019 4:07 PM BST
I agree, too obvious to be Hastings. But, I think it's Dryden the senior officer above Hastings and "friend" of DCI Roz; Roz killed Ifield the forensic expert.
