I was thinking of upgrading from the old Brennan JB7 to the new B2 model which looks vastly superior. Can store 5000 albums and the additional function which is tempting me is the fact that it also has an internet radio and the library of music looks vastly superior.
The downfall with the old JB7 was loading all one`s discs to the hard drive which tbh was a tedious task. Is it possible to connect one`s JB7 with a USB cable to the new B2 and transfer all albums directly?
got a jb7, ive not upgraded the software for many years so it doesnt recognise new albums , we do still buy the odd new album.
would be better if it was wifi too....is the b2?
was looking to connect current hifi to internet radio, ...rather thought of a new amp but that might do it ?
loading cds was a bit of a chore

Not 5000 Mouse, about 1/5 of that, cds that is. Got a lot of albums on vinyl but only about 500.
Loading the cds was very tedious indeed donny. B2 is wi-fi with built in internet radio. I put a link above which tells you all about it. Sold Out already but new stock coming in end of month. Looks good!

That is the downfall with the JB7 donny, it doesn`t recognise a lot of albums. The great thing about the old records was that if you liked a certain track, you just looked at the album to get details. If it`s on the JB7 and unrecognised it just comes up "track 1" and you don`t know what it is, especially with classical music albums.

still works well though, mines wired into our hifi speakers, . sounds as good as me denon cd player, so thats pretty much unused now...amp on last legs and getting replaced when i get around to it!..still needed for me records...
somebody bought me software to record me vinyl onto a disc or hard drive but it was pretty much carp!
never heard about this before tonite, has it been out long?

Yes, that was a double nightmare donny, having to input manually for unrecognised tracks. I would assume that no similar problem would occur with the B2 as it connects to the internet via wi-fi and library would be up to date.
The JB7 came with versions for 80g, 160g, 320g and 500g hard drives. I think yours must have been 80g version at 300 quid donny? You would get between 100 and 150 if selling on Ebay for an 80g JB7 without speakers.
I think the B2 was released 2016.

Great machines Bap. Like mentioned earlier, it`s tedious task burning the cds to the Brennan hard drive but well worth it in the end. No need for endless piles of cds once loaded and creates lots of more living space. You can easily recover initial outlay for machine by selling the cds on Ebay, depending of course on how many you have.
Terrific sound with the original Brennan speakers but can connect to most audi systems.
