The plasticisation of the banknotes was brought in to prevent such occurrences. Quite a relief to someone like myself who has lost in estimated 300k to the pests.

Whoever was using the JCB was clearly experienced with the way he was manuvering it, though for a minute I thought he was going to try and squeeze the machine through the van roof. I'm starting to wonder if the dwindling number of cash points being taken out of service in more rural areas might have something to do with this sort of crime?
