couldn't take him seriously it was so cringy lol, the deathstare to the camera in full army gear, the look at me I'm charge I have my hands on my hips pose the whole way through, and the ultra posh voice with more plums at the back of his throat than Jacob Rees-Mogg. I honestly thought it was some sort of spoof.

Am inclined to agree...who on earth suggested he should do it.
Makes me wonder whether the army top brass is the preserve of a few 'select' inbred families who can trace their lineage back to the middle ages. These people are never seen or heard of in life outside of the military.

only surprise is that their are people out there who think the armed forces arnt full of bullies , Cyprus,army towns in the uk,incidents in war zones,endless incidents on the record why would contravene what that loon said yesterday
I agree with darren - I genuinely thought this was a spoof.
The double teapot stance convinced me of its authenticity as part of a well thought through campaign to convince the British public that the armed forces are run by professionals who are in touch with the general public. 
maybe the troops treat their officers as a joke or fakes
and that is why two high profile incidents of out of control troops

I thought this was a spoof until I realised that he actually exists. I would have preferred if the speech had been made by the major from Fawlty Towers.

He looked too weedy to be taken seriously as authoratative, the constant sudden raising of the voice to emphasis key words then the sharp drop was also amusing, would also have been better to have some barracks as the backdrop rather than the BBC studio.
