a word of warning; do not believe the current Government
Report Ibrahima Sonko • April 5, 2019 10:27 PM BST
Do you mean a 2nd referendum ?
Report Baphornet • April 5, 2019 10:30 PM BST
forgive me Mr Sonko, yes the 'peoples vote'
Report mafeking • April 5, 2019 11:36 PM BST
think you'd struggle to get it done much less than a year. never gonna happen anyway. no way anyone could agree on fair question for a kick off. may's deal versus remain would be a sick joke
Report Baphornet • April 6, 2019 12:20 AM BST
evening Mr Mafeking. The correct answer (maybe) is about 3 months. The standard answer would be 6 months. The 1975 one was pushed through in about 10 weeks

but as a bill was passed through all stages the other day in less than 7 hours; i wouldn't dream of trying to outguess the lying bastards in Government (hello Molly)
Report Jack Hacksaw • April 8, 2019 10:30 AM BST
You don't mean a 'confirmatory ballot'.

They must have been through several thesauruses to come up with alternative words to 'second referendum'.

as the lying brexiteers queue up on a daily basis to continue to spread the lie of the majority of the country now want out on no deal,
the obvious question would be no deal v remain,if nothing else it would get the brexiteers sprinting to the airwaves to say that's unfair because we were lying and no we,d get humiliated, hammered in a 2nd reff if those were the choices

as anything other than no deal means at least 3 years probably nearer 8 if ever, brexiteers should be pushing for a 2nd reff and no deal ,they wont of course as they no they,ll be badly defeated
Report 1st time poster • April 8, 2019 10:50 AM BST
as a good friend of mine has told me for 30 years people think lying is easy it isn't you need a very good memory, as bo jo and co find out on a daily basis as their promises turn to dust
Report donny osmond • April 8, 2019 10:58 AM BST
would it not be a third referendum, and should there be a series
of eliminators lined up to whittle down the options.

wk 1 should mays deal even be worthy of a vote .....yes no

wk2 which leave option should be on the final ballot....no deal v norway plus

wk3 brady ammendment v customs union

wk 4 winner week 2 v winner week 3

wk 5 remain v winner week 4

maybe get simon cowell, ant and dec, jezza clarkson, dermot o leary, and
julian clary to back an option and do the vote on itv after britain lacks talent
but look at these numpties.

If we can scare up or cancel European elections in a few days, there's no practical reason why we couldn't arrange a PeoplesVote inside a fortnight. We can see the choice now, so no need to repeat the arguments to the electorate. Those who say we "haven't time" to put it back to the people should simply be more honest and admit they're frightened.
Report 1st time poster • April 8, 2019 11:41 AM BST
those who voted out for immigration/uk jobs for uk workers etc, now no agri workers, construction, nhs will have various op outs and any reduction in eu workers will be replaced by huge increases from gawd no,s where
anyone voting to get new trade deals now no fox has only managed to roll over deals 8 deals out of 40 with powers like sam marino, faroe isles, switz etc and even these are on worse terms than under the CURRENT EU terms, japan already said any deal with them wont be as good as the one japan just signed with eu, and the usa made it clear we,ll have to reduce or t n c,s, regs etc to get any sort of deal with them
anyone wanting to save the money no we,re paying at least 50 billion probably aot more before we leave
and anyone wanting to regain sov no the ECJ will still be involved
fisheries no everything will still be up for debate and if we want access to eu waters markets eu will want access to our waters and markets

begs the question is it worth it

It wont be allowed to be no deal vs remain

It'll be Mays deal vs no deal vs remain

That splits the may and no deal votes and remain wins by default

The remainers lose a vote and then throw all their toys out the pram and refuse to deliver it

Isn't "crashing out" the easiest deal in history ?

Maybe that's what they meant by "easiest"

40 plus trade deals ready to sign when we leave on 29 march 2019

they are queuing up to give us great deals...
Report Baphornet • April 8, 2019 1:50 PM BST
why would they "sign up" when they all knew what was about to happen, or not happen as the case was?
Report donny osmond • April 8, 2019 1:59 PM BST
even one would be an advance on none
Report Baphornet • April 8, 2019 2:02 PM BST
whether one or a 1000, it would have been madness
Report 1st time poster • April 8, 2019 2:07 PM BST
from what we no of the usa ,japan it will be them setting the agenda, and from what we,ve learned of the tory party,dr fox over the last 3 years it will be us bending over to sign on the dotted line
